An interesting revelation comes hours after Trump’s Energy Secretary, Chris Wright, formally signs the agreement with Saudi Arabia supporting their development of a ‘civilian’ nuclear program.  Amid claims by Sec. State Marco Rubio that the program will not lead to a military application with a nuclear bomb spin-off, Trump announced on Thursday via Trump Social (see below) that deal is now contingent upon Saudi joining of the Abraham Accords.

On 20 July 2026, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly issued a public statement thanking unnamed “Jordanians” whom it claimed provided intelligence that directly assisted Iranian attacks against U.S. military targets in Jordan. On 21 July 2026, Iraqi television channel Al-Ghadeer broadcast an interview with former Iraqi Army spokesman Lt. Gen. Abdul Karim Khalaf, who alleged that Jordanian military officers leaked military information to Iran. Khalaf claimed that the leaked intelligence contributed to attacks resulting in the deaths of U.S. service members and damage to U.S. military facilities in Jordan.

Peloni:  It is a disturbing observation to note that Trump having suggested the possibility of talking with Hezbollah.  Doing so would only serve to raise their political standing while ignoring literally thousands of American deaths on their hands, as well as their role in the subsidizing and coordinating with the ongoing drug trade which Trump has been facing down in America.  While it is stated that ‘conventional’ approaches have thus far failed, it should be noted that the only approaches to deal with Hezbollah have been thru negotiations based on promises of disarmament used to force Israel back across an undefensible border which ultimately led to the continued slaughter of Israelis in the North.  What would be an unconventional step would be to support an Israeli buffer zone til such time as already agreed upon stipulations made by Lebanon, including by Pres. Aoun himself, of disarming Hezbollah was enacted.  Of course, Aoun wants Israel out of Lebanon first, but that is the very mechanism on which the past ‘conventional’ approaches were based and failed.  Time for a new approach, and talking with terrorists won’t solve the crisis.  It will only serve to distract from the fact that the old approaches of forcing Israeli concessions is also the basis of the new approach.  Thus far Aoun has disarmed not a single Hezbollah soldier and Israel is being forced into a ‘pilot’ test program.  Forcing Lebanon to act would be a new approach, but it seems thus far that is not the path being pursued, which is why it will almost certainly fail.

Terror group has built network across the continent, established multiple weapons caches

The Hamas terrorist organization planned to carry out a large-scale terror attack on Jewish or Israeli targets in Europe to coincide with the second anniversary of the Oct. 7 invasion and massacre in Israel, according to a report by the Swiss Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) this week.

The report came on the heels of the latest in a series of arrests of Hamas operatives in Europe, highlighting the consistent efforts by the terror group to exploit the ability to easily travel within the European Union to coordinate attacks and create weapon depots.

The U.S.-Saudi deal for a “civilian” nuclear program – which potentially, after a two-year study, includes permitting Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium – is a serious, dangerous mistake. The deal seems likely to lead to widespread nuclear proliferation throughout the Middle East and redouble Iran’s determination to rapidly obtain nuclear weapons at all costs.

Peloni:  The lack of oversight associated with the US-Saudi nuclear deal is beyond belief.  Is it truly Washington’s intent that Saudi Arabia become a nuclear power?  The transactional nature of Trump’s foreign policy is going to form a very troubling outcome for the future of both the region and for America’s future.  Instead of pursuing even a temporary stabilizing policy for the region, which would come from the Abraham Accords, Trump is providing the region with the means of pursuing nuclear proliferation.  There is no good outcome from this, none at all.
