Is Israel on the cusp of political upheaval? In recent days, evidence has grown that two key actors—the Biden administration and Israel’s security establishment—are both pushing the country in that direction to advance their longstanding common goal of ousting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the religious-right bloc from power.

The Biden administration showed its hand on Tuesday when U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken gave Israel an ultimatum to support Palestinian statehood or risk demonization by the administration.

Jordan offically joins the Iranian side

Abedalela Amaala tweeted:

The Hashemite regime and Abdullah II are complicit with the criminal regime of Bashar al-Assad in killing innocent people in Suwayda Governorate. The bombing of the people of Suwayda in Syria is in order to stop the Syrian uprising in Suwayda Governorate against the rule of Bashar al-Assad. The hidden has been revealed to the Hashemite rule. Jordanian warplanes did not bomb any Iranian military militia. Abdullah II officially joins Iran, Hezbollah, the Yemeni Houthis, Asaib al-Haq, and the Iraqi Fatimids to the axis of evil. Bashar al-Assad’s regime provides the coordinates of the homes of leading citizens opposed to the Syrian regime to the Hashemite regime in order to bomb them with Jordanian warplanes. A huge scandal involving the Hashemite regime in cooperation with the Bashar al-Assad regime

After the Gaza War: Why Palestine Would Be a Lawless and Militarized State

By January 18, 2024

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 2,256, January 18, 2023

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Despite compelling logical and historical arguments against a two-state solution, louder and louder demands for a Palestinian state are being voiced worldwide. In response, Israel and its allies should remind global governments and populations that “Palestine” has no intention of ever living peacefully alongside Israel, but intends instead to replace the Jewish State in orchestrated and increasingly violent increments. Any pre-independence Palestinian commitments to remain demilitarized could quickly and even legally be undermined.

The West’s lethal error in the war against Israel

T. Belman. This is an odd title. The West did this by choice. It was not an error.

Unfortunately the Israeli government accepted the distinction. This was a big mistake.

The distinction between Hamas and “ordinary” Palestinian Arabs is largely spurious.

By Melanie Phillips,

(JNS) In the current war in the Middle East, it’s a given that a distinction must be drawn between Hamas and the “ordinary” Palestinian Arab residents of Gaza.

This distinction, however, is largely spurious.

An article in The Washington Free Beacon that drew upon interviews given to Israeli TV by freed hostages has confirmed that ordinary Gazans were deeply involved in the Oct. 7 pogrom and subjected the hostages to cruelty, abuse and starvation.

What’s the Matter with Lebanon? w/ Tony Badran

Peloni: Tony Badran’s expertise on the Levant offers an important perspective on the US position in Lebanon.  He relates the importance of the Lebanon maritime deal forced on Israel as it relates to being used as the basis of a Lebanon land deal which will likewise be forced on Israel.  He also goes into details as to the end goals of the Washington establishment, both on the Right and the Left, and why they are aligned with Iran.

For the latest episode of The Scroll podcast, Scroll Senior Writer Park MacDougald speaks with Tablet News Editor and Levant Analyst Tony Badran about Lebanon. Questions addressed in this episode include: Is Lebanon a real country? Why should I care about it? And why do you people at Tablet keep talking about this 2022 maritime deal? And stick around to the end for a discussion on the Third Worldification of American politics.

Surrender: Blinken Tells Netanyahu Israel Can’t Defeat Hamas

JOEL B. POLLAK, BREITBART

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week that Israel cannot defeat Hamas — that there is no “military solution,” and that Israel will have to accept a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu reportedly rejected the idea.

NBC News reported Wednesday that Blinken, and Biden, are therefore trying to work around Netanyahu — the democratically-elected leader of Israel — in a departure from the Biden administration’s posture as the supposed defender of democratic ideals:

Indian workers seek jobs in Israel, undeterred by conflict

ROHTAK, India, Jan 18 (Reuters) – Thousands of men queued in India’s northern state of Harayana during a recruitment drive to send workers to Israel, where the offensive in Gaza, now in its fourth month, has caused a shortage of labour.

Masons, painters, electricians, plumbers and some farmers said they were looking for jobs in Israel with some willing to risk going into a conflict zone because they could make five times more money in a year than they would at home.

“There is unemployment here and it’s because of it that people want to leave,” said Lekharam, a mason who was among the workers gathered at a recruitment camp in Rohtak, 66 km (40 miles) from the capital, New Delhi.

Canada: Liberal Diversity Hire Who Called Jews ‘Loud Mouthed Bags of Feces’ Launches Pro-Hamas Free Palestine TV

Right under the nose of a censorship-happy government.by  Jan 16/24

Canada is now offering “a steady diet of Hamas and Hezbollah propaganda” via the new Free Palestine TV. Recall Canada’s sweeping censorship bills, C-11 and C-36, in which Trudeau labeled uncensored speech “destabilizing.” In fact, Trudeau’s own appointee, Senator David Richards, referenced Trudeau’s Online Censorship Bill as “Stalinesque,” and described it as “an Orwellian attempt to force individuals to comply with government messaging.” The online streaming bill, which finally passed in April, even targeted platforms such as Netflix, YouTube and TikTok.

How Hamas fooled gullible donors to fund its billion-dollar terror tunnel system

T. Belman. The title is inaccurate. The doners were not gullible. They simply turned a blind eye to what they knew was happening.  Similarly UNRWA was totally complicit. It knew what was happening and allowed their schools to be used as cover. It  also taught a cirriculum that made terrorists out of children.

I am more concerned with the complicity of Israel. She totally underestimated the will and intention of Hamas to to destroy her.  So much so that she allowed Qatari money to flow into Gaza. Her inability to deal with Hamas as it should have led to her refusal to properly evaluate the intelligence leading up to the massacre on Oct 7.  Unpardonable.

Hamas’ vast subterranean network of tunnels rivals the London underground and the Paris metro

By Ruth Marks Eglash, FOX NEWS       January 14, 2024

JERUSALEM — For the past three months, almost on a daily basis, Israeli gound troops fighting inside the war-weary Gaza Strip have been sending missives and images of tunnel shafts or underground complexes, including weapons dispensaries or bunkers, discovered beneath homes, schools, mosques and hospitals.

In some cases, the tunnels are simple warrens enabling Hamas fighters to ambush Israeli soldiers; in others, the shafts are vast, elaborate creations replete with elevators, electricity and full ventilation systems.

“Totally defensive” in the Middle East: The void and the non-deterrence

Houthi boats January 2024

It doesn’t help that the U.S. military chain of command was basically, as far as we can see right now, in Status Unknown around the New Year.  It’s being reported that neither the National Security Council nor Congress was informed on New Year’s Day when Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was put in intensive care following an “elective procedure” performed sometime before (probably Christmas week).  Austin was in the ICU for four days before the NSC was told.

Regional War with Iran…and the US is Blind

E. Rowell:  Caroline Glick assesses the Obama-Biden Iran policy as appeasement of Iran and explains that you cannot have deterrence within an overall policy of appeasement.  Due to this, Iran keeps increasing their aggression throughout the Middle East.  Simultaneously to their policy of appeasing Iran and her proxies, the US policy towards Israel is currently one of claiming to be an ally, but refusing to sell weapons to Israel that Israel needs in order to achieve victory against Hamas.  Thus they show in their words and deeds that they want Israel to capitulate to the terrorists.

Do not allow Palestinian workers into Israel, Likud MKs and ministers demand

T. Belman.  Absolutely not. The Palestinians are our enemy. Don’t make a distinction betwee the terrorists and the “innocent”  Palestinians.

Some 90,000 Palestinian workers from the West Bank are employed in Israel.

By ELIAV BREUER, JPOST JANUARY 17, 2024 14:18

The Likud’s ministers in the government should not support any decision to allow Palestinian workers from the West Bank into Israel, 12 Likud Members of Knesset (MKs) and two ministers wrote in a petition addressed to the other ministers of the Likud on Wednesday.

The petition followed an admission by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday that Israel was considering a pilot program for the entry of Palestinian workers aged 45 and older, and after Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned this week that not allowing Palestinians to work in Israel would strengthen Hamas in the West Bank and ultimately lead to a deterioration in the security situation.

During the war in Gaza, the IDF recovered large quantities of weapons from the Gaza Strip that apparently were produced in North Korea, as reported by the South Korean National Intelligence Service.

Since these weapons were seized, new information has been published revealing the current and historical relationship between North Korea and Hamas, as well as other terrorist organizations, including Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Syria, and the Houthis, according to a study by the Stimson Research Institute.
