Peloni:  Sen. Lindsey Olin Graham (1955–2026) was an important voice among supporters of Israel and America Jews.  He provided an important voice against Islamists and Iran, and he held a senior position within the American Right which often enough gave his voice an import resonance with Trump.

There is a rumor being spread about Graham having been poisoned, but there is little beyond speculation to support this suspicion.  This being stated, the timing of Graham’s death in relation to the threat raised against him by the Iranians adds to this speculation, something which was echoed by Graham in a eerie post which Erin Molan describes in the video below.  While any conclusion of foul play at this point is entirely speculative, it is noteworthy that the Iranians were noted to have hatched a number of assassination plots against Trump (at least two in fact) and key members of his former administration, and one Iranian assassin, who now faces life in prison, was actually convicted this past March for trying to hire an undercover FBI agent to assassinate Trump.  This, along with the recent spate of public threats against Trump, various heads of state in the Middle East and Europe, along with Sen. Graham and others, all the more directs our attention to the fact that this regime is too radical, too dangerous, and too destabilizing to remain in place.  Sen. Graham never lost sight of this fact, and worked to his final days to try to address it.

Peloni:  These war refugees in Gaza should be sheltered elsewhere, not in Gaza.  The refusal to provide such an alternate safe space over the past 3 years to war refugees in a war zone only 25km at its widest margin demonstrates the continued commitment by the international community to further weaponize the population in Gaza against Israel.  The Gazans must be granted safe harbor, but not in Israel, not under the protection of the IDF.  There are only some two dozen Muslim nations.  Pick one, and leave them there.  Or choose from one of those nations in Europe which has demonstrated such an interest so far from their own shores.  The reality is that the psychopaths of Gaza were purposefully developed for a purpose which they are still intended to fulfill:  the slaughter of more Jews.  While this is the intent of the international community, it should be opposed by Israeli policies.  Open the doors and let the Gazans out!

On July 8, the US-led Board of Peace announced that it would soon establish a “pilot zone” in southern Gaza. Planned for Tel Sultan, near Rafah, the goal of the zone would be to move unarmed civilians who have been vetted for Hamas affiliations to the Israeli-controlled side of the Gaza Strip, separated by the Yellow Line. In the first portion of July, there was an increase in Israeli strikes and reported ceasefire violations as Hamas and other groups attempt to reconstitute forces in the area under Hamas control.

Peloni:  As I noted yesterday, the threat from Turkey being gifted advanced US hardware is its connections to America’s peer competitors, not just the presence of Russian advanced hardware in Turkey.  Furthermore, the transfer of the S-400 from one supposed US ally to another does not solve the problem, and if the S-400 is transferred to Qatar, the problem is even more troublesome given the US base located in Qatar.

Turkey’s decade-long standoff with Washington over the S-400 may finally be nearing an inflection point, though not in the tidy way Ankara once imagined, and not without a fresh dose of frustration from the NATO summit in Ankara. Turkey appears to be pushing ahead with plans to divest itself of the Russian-made S-400 missile defense system, hoping the measure will clear legal hurdles, allowing Ankara to purchase F-35 fighter jets from the United States.

Recall that the best way to understand—or influence—anyone is to grasp the fundamental motivations that drive their actions. Much of the current discussion surrounding the fractures within Iran centers on the supposed divide between “moderates” and “radicals” inside the IRGC. Riboua and Wurmser, however, explain that that this characterization misses the point entirely. Rather than representing an ideological struggle, the competing factions within the IRGC are better understood as rival power centers operating within an organization that functions much like a mafia.

Peloni:  As the Pentagon’s National Defense Strategy has come to focus upon burden sharing among its allies and partners, it becomes critical to properly vet those allies and partners as being reliably supportive of US interests.  The fact that Turkey violated its support of its alliances with Washington and the West is what drew Trump’s ire when Erdogan first took possesion of the Russian S-400.  Simply parting with the possession of this weapon system can not be the basis of restoring faith in Turkey as a reliable or dependable partner.  Its vocal abuses and threats to well established US partners demonstrates that Turkey is not worthy of any level of trust which might be placed in it divesting itself of the Russian war system.  So, why is Trump placing so much Trust in Turkey?  And why should Trump’s partners and allies do the same?

Peloni:  Are these the sort of reforms regarding Pay For Slay that the Board of Peace was looking for in the PA before once again empowering that terror organization with the means to weaponize their Jew Hatred against the Israeli people?  Peace can not be forced between parties who are openly hostile, and the terrorist sourcing of the American equity in the PA should then clearly be a Red Line to any hope of achieving peace, as is clearly demonstrated here.  Oslo placed these terrorists in a position of power over their constituency without any interest in how that would actually isolate and eliminate the voices of any Arabs who actually  might have been interested in seeking peace with Israel.  As the Board of Peace is leaving Hamas armed in Gaza, and is once again turning to its terror equity in the ‘reformed’ PA for leadership qualities which no self respecting terrorist could muster, this same crime is being committed against the Israeli people, using the crime of once again empowering terrorists to silence any possible hopes of peace which might exist in the Gazan population.  American Peace Processors should divest themselves of doing the same thing over and over again, while pretending it is different.   It isn’t different, and in many ways it is worse, because they should know better after playing this game so many times in the past with the singular outcome of dismal failure which cost the lives of far too many.
