David Wurmser: US Treating Israel Like It Is Not A Sovereign Country | The Caroline Glick Show

Peloni:  A very important conversation between Caroline and Wurmser where they discuss, among other things, how the US is pushing its hostile position upon Israel and that the Israeli elites have utterly failed to challenge the US support for the existential threats being leveraged against Israel.

Caroline Glick, JNS  January 10, 2024

Has there been a paradigm shift in US policy towards Israel since the beginning of the war with Hamas? What is US policy towards Hezbollah in the North? Is the Biden administration out of touch with the reality in the Middle East?

Caroline Glick talks with the Center for Security Policy’s David Wurmser to discuss all of this and more!

‘Surge in illegal Arab building along Green Line a security threat’

Regavim discovered tens of thousands of illegal structures along the Judea and Samaria security barrier, much of it constructed in the last 10 months.

An alarming increase in illegal Arab construction along the Judea and Samaria security barrier has come to light thanks to research by Israeli NGO Regavim.

Analyzing photography obtained through aerial reconnaissance, Regavim discovered tens of thousands of illegal structures built along the barrier, which runs roughly along the Green Line, the 1949 armistice line that followed Israel’s War of Independence.

Biden Promised Gaza Aid Wouldn’t Go To Hamas. He Lied.

By Daniel Greenfield, GATESTONE       10 January 2024

If anyone is watching, armed Hamas fighters have hijacked aid convoys in videos taken both by the IDF and civilians in Gaza. In video after video, Hamas terrorists seize aid and assault civilians who, in some cases, respond by hurling abuse and stones. A week after the horrors of October 7, when the Biden administration first convinced Israel to open up the siege of Gaza and allow in international aid, it promised Hamas would not get it.

“If Hamas in any way blocks humanitarian assistance from reaching civilians, including by seizing the aid itself, we’ll be the first to condemn it. And we will work to prevent it from happening again,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken pledged.

Obama, Hamas and ‘Complicity’

The former president seeks to shift the blame for the attack on Israel. He ought to look in the mirror.

By Elliot Kaufman, WSJ    Nov. 6, 2023

Even Barack Obama supported Israel in dismantling Hamas, a senior Israeli official was eager to tell me early in the war. The former president said so in a 73-word statement on Oct. 9.

But on Oct. 23, in a 1,130-word statement, Mr. Obama called for Israeli restraint. Now, on the “Pod Save America” podcast, Mr. Obama counsels “an admission of complexity.” In a part of the interview released Saturday, Mr. Obama says: “What Hamas did was horrific and there’s no justification for it. And what is also true is that the occupation and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable.” To get to the full truth, “you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.” He adds: “As hard as I tried—I have the scars to prove it—but there’s a part of me that’s still saying, ‘Well, was there something else I could have done?’ ”

Nearly half of young Jewish voters feel Biden overly supports Israel

T. Belman.  IDIOTS!!

The survey, designed to understand the perspectives of the US Jewish electorate, has unveiled a significant generational divide in political opinions among American Jews.

By JERUSALEM POST STAFF   JANUARY 9, 2024 21:10

Approximately 47% of younger Jewish voters, aged between 18-35, feel that President Joe Biden is overly supportive of Israel, according to the latest November 2023 National Survey of Jewish Voters, conducted by the Jewish Electorate Institute with GBAO Strategies. This contrasts sharply with the generally favorable view of the older Jewish electorate towards the President’s handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Does the UN hate the Gazans?

T. Belman.  This is an excellent summary of the history of Gaza and the international community’s hatred of Israel.

Or does it simply hate Israel so much it is willing to use Gazan Arabs as pawns and cannon fodder. The MUST READ concise history of Gaza.

  Jan 8, 2024, 6:37 AM

Over the last 500 years, at least, the Gaza Strip has been a backwar. No one has ever truly invested in Gaza or the Gazans. For the last 100 years, Gaza and the Gazans have increasingly been used as pawns, by both the Arabs and the international community, in their efforts to vilify Israel and the Jews.

When push came to shove, the international community, led by the United Nations, preferred dead Gazans over losing leverage against Israel. Paradoxically and entirely contrary to common perception, Israel did more for the Gazans and the Gaza Strip than any of its many rulers, and had the international community not hated the Gazans so much, their situation today could have been drastically different.

Israel to Step Up Targeted Kling of Hamas Leaders Beyond the Usual Borders

JaFaJ INTELLIGENCE January 9, 2024

1. Summary: JaFaJ has confirmed that Israel will target Hamas leaders outside of the usual boundaries. Previously, Israel has targeted Hamas leaders in territories deemed hostile to the United States (US), such as Gaza, West Bank, and Lebanon while Hamas leaders in Qatar and Jordan have thrived under the protection of two supposed US allies. If Israel follows through with its new policy, it will be a game changer for Hamas leaders because they will lose two preciously protected sanctuaries, sanctuaries that they have enjoyed for over two decades.

Israel Enters a New Phase of War With Hamas and Still Doesn’t Have a Postwar Plan for Gaza

T. Belman. No Israeli plan for the day after.  Great. Best news I have had all week. Blinken’s visit was a bust for him.

Smotrich to Blinken:

“US Secretary of State Blinken, welcome to Israel. We greatly appreciate the US’s support for Israel, but as far as our existence in our country is concerned, we will always act according to the Israeli interest.”

“That is why we will continue to fight with all our might to destroy Hamas, we will not transfer a single shekel to the Palestinian Authority that will go to the families of the Nazis in Gaza and we will work to allow the opening of the gates of Gaza for the voluntary migration of refugees as the international community did to the refugees from Syria and Ukraine.

The U.S. and Egypt have both put forward ideas on what the future government of Gaza could look like, but it seems that Israel is refusing to even discuss a future beyond ‘ongoing Israeli security control.’ As the war enters its fourth month, the future is as up in the air as it was when it started.

Without public declarations or official statements, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi “to coordinate positions ahead of the meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.” News reports said the two “discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and agreed to categorically reject the possibility of Palestinians emigrating outside the Strip.”

Military echelon’s warning: Judea and Samaria are on the brink

T. Belman. So what if we are putting the squeeze on them by withholding funds.  Once again, the IDF wants Israel to ease their condition to avoid a flare-up. I say, I hope there is an explosiion. Time we went on offensive in Judea and Samaria. We must demilitarize it and deswtroyt Hamas there also.

TV report: The military echelon explicitly warned Netanyahu and the Cabinet ministers about a slippery slope in Judea and Samaria: We may end up with a third intifada there.

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and senior IDF officers informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the War Cabinet ministers on several occasions that “Judea and Samaria are on the brink of explosion”, Channel 12 News reported on Monday.

According to the report, the military echelon explicitly warned against a slippery slope in the territories of Judea and Samaria that could end in another front that Israel would have to deal with in high intensity.

Report: October’s System Failures in Gaza Still Persist in Judea and Samaria

By David Israel, JEWISH PRESS       8 January 2024

The entire country of Israel, with a few noted exceptions, was led down the path of false promises of security between the expulsion from Gush Katif in 2005 and the murders in 2023 of the very kibbutz members who supported the expulsion. It was a hard lesson on the need for vigilance, as well as on the sad fact that for the foreseeable future, Israelis will have to continue fighting for their lives as their neighbors in the immediate surrounding Arab countries will refuse to accept them.

Now, it appears that the hard lessons have yet to be integrated, and another October 7 massacre is waiting to erupt. They fooled us in 2023, will they fool us again in 2024?

A Culture in Collapse

By Victor Davis Hanson, AMERICAN GREATNESS   8 Jan 2024

In the last six months, we have borne witness to many iconic moments evidencing the collapse of American culture.

The signs are everywhere and cover the gamut of politics, the economy, education, social life, popular culture, foreign policy, and the military. These symptoms of decay share common themes.

What Leo Tolstoy can teach us about ‘the day after’ in Gaza

T. Belman. My sentiments exactly.  GREAT ARTICLE.

What Tolstoy might very well teach us is that we must ultimately look to the individual soldiers and their feelings, senses, and perceptions of how the war went.

By DOUGLAS ALTABEF, JPOST  JANUARY 9, 2024 02:59

In his epic work, War and Peace, the great Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy writes at length about the detailed battle plans of Napoleon’s 1812 invasion of Russia, as well as those of his Russian adversaries.

A military genius, Napoleon lays out greatly detailed and specific orders, choreographing the way he envisions a battle to be fought.

Widespread demolition of Jewish homes in Gush Etzion

T. Belman.  What the fuck!!!

Civil Administration forces raided numerous Israeli homes in Gush Etzion this morning, confiscated mobile phones, and demolished several buildings.

Civil Administration forces demolished a number of buildings on homesteads near the town of Pnei Kedem in Gush Etzion on Tuesday morning. Six houses have been destroyed so far, including one with a family living in it.

The demolition was secured by significant forces of Border Police, whom the residents claim confiscated their phones to prevent them documenting the incident.

Major in Reserves: This Time We Must Demand Complete Victory in Gaza

T. Belman. This is a great interview. The protest movement in Israel is growing. The soldiers and their families are opposed to the elite policies. And the country supports them big time. Watch it grow. A clear victory means Palestinians must be allowed to leave and Gaza must be annexed.
