T. Belman. This is huge news if it proves to be true. I have been under the impression the the US wants to get the best deal possible for the Palestinians and to secure the prospect of a TSS. The Saudis and the Israelis do not care about the Palestinians or the prospect of a TSS.
US wants talks on normalization between Saudi Arabia, Israel, with no preconditions from the Palestinian Authority, source says.
Israel National News 6.9.23
A Palestinian Arab source told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Barbara Leaf, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, demanded that the Palestinian Authority not set preconditions for Saudi Arabia regarding a normalization agreement between it and Israel.
– 2022 Statistical Report on Ultra-Orthodox Society in Israel
By Dr. Gilad Malach and Lee Cahaner. January 02, 2023

The seventh annual report on ultra-Orthodox society in Israel found that in 2021 78% of ultra-Orthodox women and 51% of the men participate in the workforce; preliminary reports show a slight improvement in the first three quarters of 2022 – 80% and 53% respectively. In addition 44% of the ultra-Orthodox in Israel live in poverty
The survey presents recent trends in ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) society in a range of areas, including standard of living, education, employment, social mobility, leisure, and lifestyles.
T. Belman. I totally disagree. First a deal should not be approved sight unseen. Secondly, there is no urgency. It can wait a few more months until Trump’s second term.
Furthermore, Biden is heavily advocating for the PA and the two state solution. That has to affect the deal.
The problem is that Trump will not also be able to get a 2/3 majority to back it.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and former senior White House adviser Jared Kushner have encouraged former US president Donald Trump to support his successor Joe Biden’s effort to broker a normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
T. Belman. I was surprised to learn that “The Jewish population is growing at a rate of 1.7% per year and the Arab population at a rate of 2.1%.”. I thought we had a higher growth rate due to Jewish immigration and higher fertility.
The Arabs are not as well off because their women do not work (only 28.3% compared to Jewish women at 61.3% and Heredi women at 80%)
Central Bureau of Statistics assessment shows barely half of Arab households can cover monthly expenses, employment rates lower than for Jewish counterparts

New data released Monday on the differences between the Jewish and Arab communities pointed to significant gaps between the two populations, with Arab Israelis earning less income, being more likely to slip into poverty, and dying younger.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) report, titled “Gaps Between Jews and Arabs,” examined differences in demographic characteristics, standards of living, employment, health, welfare services, personal security, crime, education, transportation and the environment.

UTJ head says govt. may collapse if the Draft Law exempting yeshiva students from IDF service is not passed.
Israel National News Sep 6, 2023, 9:16 PM
Yitzhak GoldknopfAvshalom Sassoni/Flash90
United Torah Judaism chairman and Construction Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf stated this evening (Wednesday) that if the Draft Law is not passed during the Knesset’s winter session, the government’s planned judicial reforms would not be allowed to pass and the government may even collapse.
The Draft Law would enshrine in law the exemptions from military service that haredi yeshiva students receive. The latest version of the bill would also lower the age of exemption so that haredi men could enter the workforce at a younger age.

As the four indictments against former President Donald Trump continue to unfold, the American people have begun to recognize the painful truth that the country’s justice and judicial system, especially the DC District Court in Washington DC, reveal itself as a microcosm of evil monsters as Congress refuted its Constitutional responsibility.
In May, 2021, there was momentum to establish an ‘independent’ Congressional inquiry into the facts surrounding the January 6 event when thousands of Stop the Steal Americans left Trump at the Ellipse to “peacefully and patriotically’ walk to the Capitol. At the time, the House was meeting to count Electoral College votes and certify the 2020 election which millions of Americans felt was rampant with voter irregularities and digital manipulation.
The IDF has turned into a locomotive that is pulling the Israeli economy in technology and cyber sectors.
The Israel Innovation Authority’s 2023 annual report shows that in recent decades, the hi-tech industry has become the engine that pulls the Israeli economy, in which it is the industry with the largest and fastest-growing output. The report also shows that between 2012 and 2023, the average growth rate of the number of employees in the hi-tech industry was three times the general rate in the economy (6.3% and 2.2% respectively). Moreover, the sector’s contribution to GDP was over 18%, having doubled within a decade to 290 billion shekels ($76.5 billion) in 2022.

Oslo Accord’s writing on the wall
In January 1979, President Carter facilitated the Ayatollahs’ rise to power in Iran, assuming that they would be “preoccupied with tractors, not with tanks.”
In September 1993, Prime Minister Rabin embraced the Oslo Accord, assuming that Arafat would be “preoccupied with domestic issues of the newly-established Palestinian Authority, not with terrorism.”
Appointing Jack Lew, who has a history of insulting Netanyahu and a harmful-to-Israel record, will only further harm the US-Israel relationship, at a time when what it needs is healing.
In June 2015, while then-president Barack Obama’s negotiating team, sitting in a palace in Vienna, was in the last stages of appeasing the terrorist Islamic Republic of Iran – with Obama’s head negotiator bursting into tears at the negotiating table and begging Iran to enter into the disastrous anti-American and anti-Israel deal – the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Obama’s Treasury secretary, and his former chief of staff, Jack Lew appeared at the annual Jerusalem Post Conference in New York to try to promote the JCPOA and its almost-as-bad predecessor, the interim Iran deal, the JPA.
The prime minister is committed to “making any deal with the Saudis possible, even at the price of toppling his own government,” HaModia reported.
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF 1.9.23
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday denied ultra-Orthodox reports he was preparing for the collapse of his government in return for a US-backed normalization deal with Saudi Arabia.
According to a report published in the Agudat Yisrael-affiliated haredi paper HaModia on Friday morning, Netanyahu had resigned to the fact that “his political career is nearing an end.”
Netanyahu, in accordance with White House officials, will receive the long-awaited Saudi normalization deal and plea bargain for his criminal trials for his resignation, with the understanding being that he “does not have the capacity to manage the country in Israel’s current political state,” as per the report.
And that means the First Amendment must die.
“Wokism” is the “highest stage” of Marxism, to borrow Lenin’s phrase, the final descent of that malign, murderous ideology into intellectual degradation and absurd triviality. After all, “wokism” is, like communism, a mash-up of radical secularism, scientism, technocratic tyranny, and a ruthless “any means necessary” modus operandi. Hence like Marxism, for “wokism” to succeed, coherent arguments, empirical evidence, common sense, and truth itself must be discredited, distorted, and demonized, at the same time alternative authorities––God, the Constitution, real science–– subjected to tyrannical elimination or refashioning.

In an exclusive interview with conservative political commentator and former Michigan gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon, former President Donald Trump weighed in for the first time on the rising concerns over adverse events linked to COVID-19 vaccines.
On Wednesday, Dixon told Trump about hardships faced by Americans since the onset of the pandemic. She questioned Trump on his stance regarding potential future COVID-19-related shutdowns.
T. Belman. Once again Singer and INN mislead. Abbas, Abdullah and al Sisi didn’t even mention the HKOPS. In fact they have never even acknowledged it.
Their joint statement confirms that the Jordan Option is the only game in town. The JO asserts that Abdullah must abdicate, willingly or otherwise, for there to be peace.
The conflict and carnage will continue unabated until the UN recognizes HKOPS and resolves to attempt to implement it.

Jordan’s King Abdullah and PLO chairman Mahmoud Abbas have broken their 15 months long silence by finally rejecting the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine solution – first published in Saudi Arabia on 8 June 2022 – that shredded the failed two-state solution pursued by Saudi Arabia and the Arab League since 2002 (Arab Peace Initiative).
Min. Michael Malkieli speaks about Draft Law, says no intention to push for blanket exemption for haredi community.
Israel National News 5.9.23
Religious Affairs Minister Michael Malkieli (Shas) spoke on Tuesday about the Draft Law, saying that the coalition is not intending to advance a blanket exemption for the haredi population.
In an interview with Behadrey Haredim, Malkieli said, “We are partners in the coalition, and we have needs. The Likud signed agreements with us, and they know exactly what is important to each party. The issue of the Draft Law is something which is dear to the hearts of haredi Jewry. We have made a commitment to the Torah learners and we intend to fulfill our obligation.”
T. Belman. This visit is unconscionable. I call it treason. I expect more from the leader of the loyal opposition.
The one-day visit will include meetings with senior Biden administration officials.
(September 5, 2023 / JNS). Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid arrived in Washington on Tuesday for meetings with senior U.S. officials, his office said.
The Yesh Atid Party chief, who served as interim prime minister and as foreign minister in the previous government, is scheduled to meet with Biden administration officials, members of Congress and Jewish community leaders before heading back to Israel on Tuesday night.
