The real coup against Israel’s democracy

For once, Ha’aretz has stated an important truth

MELANIE PHILLIPS

As I write, tens of thousands of Israeli protesters against the government’s judicial reforms, who have spent the past few days marching to Jerusalem, are becoming even more dangerously agitated over the fact that the Knesset has just passed the first provision of these reforms which abolishes the criterion of “reasonableness” in judicial review.

The protesters describe these reforms as a “coup” that will “destroy democracy”. That’s how they describe a democratically elected government and Knesset enacting a proposal that was put to the electorate to vote on at the last general election.

Ukraine’s Lack of Weaponry and Training Risks Stalemate in Fight With Russia

T. Belman. First the Daily Telegraph and now WSJ, are reporting how bad things are for Ukraine and the West. Hopefully the public is being prepared for the inevitable.

U.S. and Kyiv knew of shortfalls but Kyiv still launched offensive
By Daniel Michaels, WSJ 23.7.23

BRUSSELS—When Ukraine launched its big counteroffensive this spring, Western military officials knew Kyiv didn’t have all the training or weapons—from shells to warplanes—that it needed to dislodge Russian forces. But they hoped Ukrainian courage and resourcefulness would carry the day.

How Israel’s Jewish and other media lie to you

A reader needs very serious analytic skills to read a news report

24/7/23

This article offers a partial guide to cutting through the lies, deceit, and deceptions of what liars and truth-tellers alike call “Journalism.”

1. The Source: Any article on Judaism, Israel, or other Jewish issues that originates from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) should be assumed ab initio, unless proven otherwise, to be extreme-left-propaganda against normative Orthodox Judaism and against centrist or conservative political perspectives. The same is true for reports and op-eds originating in Forward and often Times of Israel. Also Hebrew publications like Maariv and Yediot Acharonot (Ynet).

Tunisia Secretly Cooperating with Israel, Considering A Peace Agreement

JaFaJ INTELLIGENCE 23.7.23

1. Summary: Challenged at the domestic level as the public questions its legitimacy and protests their deteriorating economic conditions, the Government of Tunisia (GOT) has recently been warming up to Israel by expanding its intelligence sharing and cooperation with the Government of Israel (GOI). JaFaJ has confirmed that Israeli officials have already visited Tunisia to discuss further cooperation as their Tunisian counterparts promise a peace deal “at the right time.” Nonetheless, Tunisia is one of many Arab countries holding secret ties with Israel. The GOT may be just seeking leverage from the Israelis during these challenging times for Tunisia. Hence, the sudden GOT warmth towards Israel may not translate into a peace agreement, much less a functioning sustainable peace between both countries.

Lloyd George On Antisemitism and Zionism

Elder of Ziyon has performed an indispensable service by finding, putting into digital form, and posting online a resplendent essay on antisemitism and Zionism by David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922. His essay appeared in several British newspapers in 1923, a year after he had left office, and a year since the League of Nations had created the Mandate for Palestine to right a great wrong.<
>
I’m reprinting it here in full. It needs no gloss. It speaks for itself.

London, July 14 (1923) —Of all the bigotries that savage the human there is none so stupid as the antisemitic. It has no basis in reason—it is not rooted in faith—it aspires to no ideal —it is just one of those dank and unwholesome weeds that grow in the morass of racial hatred.

Anti-government protesters attempt to block entrance to Knesset

T. Belman. This is an attempt to destroy democracy not defend it. Thankfully the police are doing their job.

Protesters claim that ‘for the first time in the country’s history, all four gates to the Knesset are blocked. ‘

As the Knesset continued to discuss the bill to reduce the reasonableness standard ahead of the vote in its second and third reading later in the day, anti-government and anti-judicial reform demonstrators attempted to block the access routes to the Knesset.

According to the Kaplan protest group, they carried out a “siege on the Knesset – for the first time in the country’s history, all four gates to the Knesset are blocked.” Israel National News has learned from the Knesset that despite this, one of the entrances remains open, and MKs can enter through it.

Ukraine and the West are facing a devastating defeat

T. Belman. Rarely, if ever, do we read such honesty in the western media. Having said that, the prospects for Ukraine are more dire than he suggests.

Col. D. Macgregor explains just h0w dire the situation is in this video.

The prospect of a failed counter-offensive and significant territorial concessions would only embolden Russia and China

By Robert Clark, DAILY TELEGRAPH

Since Putin’s tanks crossed into Ukrainian territory last year, three options have been on the table for how this war would end: victory for one side or the other, a frozen conflict or a negotiated settlement. The public comments made this week by Oleksiy Arestovych, a former advisor to Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff, appear to indicate the last may be more likely than previously thought.

‘No more cover-up’: Nazi concentration camps on British soil finally to be officially investigated

By Tom Gross

These are the four concentration camps on the British island of Alderney where possibly thousands of Jewish slave laborers (including French and German Jews) and others including Soviet prisoners of war, were murdered during World War Two. Jews were said to have been crucified on the entry gates of one camp, Sylt. Although the SS ran the camps, they did so with the collaboration of local British people. Now finally, the UK government has decided to come clean on the issue —Tom Gross

This Jewess Says RFK Jr is Right

A presidential candidate is assailed for speaking the truth.

Dr. Naomi Wolf’s Substack.com.

It’s legacy media hysteria time again: news outlets from The Washington Post to The Atlantic hyperventilate about what they spin as the latest scandale. Presidential candidate RFK Jr made comments at a dinner about ethnically targeted bioweapons. Mainstream media commentators claim that these comments are in themselves antisemitic.

Some articles are going back in time, cherry-picking remarks RFK Jr has made in the past about the Holocaust, and about other aspects of historic totalitarianism, to strengthen the case for imprinting the “Anti-Semite” label forever on Mr Kennedy’s candidacy and campaign. With the (now AI-driven) global smear campaign in full mode, we see the way that bad press today quickly becomes circular and self-referential.

‘Thorny Questions’: How the Democrats and Media Enablers Censor News

By Clarice Feldman, AM THINKER  23.7.23<
>
Democrats in Congress and their legacy media enablers dropped their veils this week, revealing how dear they hold their desire and capacity to censor truth. The drop came during Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s testimony about vaccines and shows how frightened they are that he may out-primary their demented puppet Joe Biden and his cackling numbskull veep.

The New York Times’ Sheryl Gay Stolberg tweeted:

“Despite the theater, the hearing raised thorny questions about free speech in a democratic society: Is misinformation protected by the First Amendment. When is it appropriate for the federal government to seek to tamp down the spread of falsehoods?”

Fmr. US Amb Friedman: ‘Why would Gov’t proceed with Judicial Reform? Bad timing’

Statement seems to be change of course for the former ambassador, who until recently voiced opposition to American criticism of the bill.

23/7/23

Former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman took to Twitter on Sunday to express opposition to the Israeli government’s push to pass legislation to reform its judicial system.

“Given the striking parallels between Israel’s current internal rift and the infighting that caused the destruction of the Second Temple 2000 years ago, why would the Israeli Government proceed with its Judicial Reform bill on the eve of Tisha B’Av? Very bad timing,” the former ambassador wrote, referring to the destruction of the second Jewish temple, which occurred on the 9th of the month of Av which falls out this Thursday.

Europe is a Pompei under a multicultural volcano – Part 1

The killing of a teen criminal vs. the passing of judicial reform. The lawless violence of 2023 is similarly close to the surface.

During last year, many large European cities, from France to England, from Sweden to Belgium, have caught fire. And in those flames we could see the end of multiculturalism crackling, a giant powder keg waiting for the spark.

“How can we avoid secession? Because that is what is happening: secession,” said former socialist president François Hollande. And if Gérard Collomb, Emmanuel Macron’s former interior minister, long-time mayor of Lyon and historic exponent of the Socialist Party, said before leaving that the communities, from “side by side”, have moved on to live “face to face, face to face” and that there is a risk of a “civil war”, in the Journal du dimanche an appeal by French generals and officers warned: “We have seen declared a hybrid and multifaceted war, which will end either with a civil war or with a defeat”.

Herzog flew to the US to heal the Biden-Netanyahu rift. Instead he exposed its depth

After he failed to forge compromise back home, president’s visit to DC to get ties back on track winds up with American leader highlighting opposition to judicial overhaul

By LAZAR BERMAN, TOI 21 July 2023, 7:09 am

President Isaac Herzog is greeted by as he arrives to speak to a joint meeting of US Congress, July 19, 2023, at the Capitol in Washington (Chris Kleponis)

President Isaac Herzog’s task in Washington was as straightforward as it was delicate. With two dangerous fissures emerging – between US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and between government and opposition supporters back in Israel – Herzog’s visit offered a timely opportunity to craft bridges across the chasms.

Initially, it seemed that Herzog might have succeeded in keeping Washington and Jerusalem from drifting any further apart at the very least.

‘The Perfect Crime’: Tech Companies Are Manipulating Our Elections and Indoctrinating Our Children — How We Can Stop Them

by Robert Epstein, GATESTONE July 23, 2023

  • Big Tech companies are deliberately manipulating the outcomes of our elections and the thinking and beliefs of our children. And they are having an enormous impact.
  • Consider this: The GOP currently has a slim 10-seat majority in the House of Representatives. Without Google’s interference in 2022, it would likely now have a majority of between 27 and 59 seats.

Should Netanyahu go to China?

T. Belman. All the more reason he should go. Israel should demonstrate its independence. Inbar argues Israel should be a loyal lackey of the US no matter what. Yoram Ettinger argues that Defiance of US pressure enhances US-Israel cooperation.

Netanyahu will learn, first-hand, what China is planning, particularly in the Mid East.

By Professor Efraim Inbar, JISS

SUMMARY: It is not desirable to exacerbate the tensions with the US only due to the desire to increase sales of Israeli products to the Chinese market. Israel should also consider the West’s criticism of its policy toward Ukraine, its relations with the countries of the Indo-Pacific region, and that China and Iran signed a strategic agreement. It should also reevaluate its position toward Taiwan.

Yes, it is a Coup

by Victor Rosenthal 23.7.23

As I write, Israel is undergoing a carefully planned, well-financed, coup d’état.

Its leaders, members of Israel’s elite, including two former prime ministers, military officers, high tech entrepreneurs, media, judges and lawyers, supported by an army of useful idiots, will tell you that it is not a coup. They will say that it’s the government that is trying to effect a revolution, to destroy Israel’s democracy and install a dictatorship or even a theocracy.

TRUMP PEACE: Antisemitic Content Has Been Removed From Textbooks in Saudi Arabia

T. Belman. Reforming the curricula of Arab textbooks in Israel and Jordan has been one of the Jordan Option’s goals.

I have stated in the past that ideas in the Jordan Option greatly contributed to the development of the Abraham Accords and are reflected in them.
