Is America’s collapse inevitable?

By Andrea Widburg, AM THINKER

Usually, I write to bring news to your attention or to analyze a specific issue. It’s relatively rare for me to write a post telling you to read someone else’s post. However, Harold Robertson’s post about the “competence crisis” is so important that I want to encourage as many people as possible to read it. (Hat tip: William Duncan.)

The full title of Robertson’s article, which is published at Palladium (Governance Futurism), is “Complex Systems Won’t Survive the Competence Crisis.” The first few paragraphs spell out the scope of this problem:

Likud sources: ‘Justice Min. will fight to the end for judicial appointments’

Sources close to Justice Min. Levin say he will resign if a satisfactory compromised is not reached.

Sources in the Likud have clarified that Justice Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) is sending an unambiguous message that if there are no agreements with the opposition before it is time to choose representatives from the Knesset for the Judicial Selection Committee and the Likud does not decide to choose two coalition representatives for the committee, he will resign his position as minister.

Joe Biden’s sop to the Jews

Condemning White Supremacist antisemitism has meaning only if it acknowledges the breadth and depth of Black Jew-hatred in America.

With much fanfare, the Biden Administration recently unveiled a plan that supposedly aims to counter anti-Semitism in America. Several “mainstream” American Jewish organizations fell over each other, racing to be first to distribute their press statements praising the Biden paper. I differ.

I live in various worlds including those of the secular legal profession, opinion journalism, and academia. I also know the American Jewish organizational universe from the inside. Among the many in that alphabet universe of ADL’s and AJC’s and XYZ’s, each has its own publicists, and they all race to get their press release out before “the competition” does. Their dream: maybe, if they are fast enough and say the words coveted by the leftist mainstream media, their organization’s name will be cited and their leader will be quoted, wistfully in the New York Times. Or at least in some left-wing “Jewish” outlet like the JTA, the TOI, or Haaretz.

Research journals have withdrawn well over 300 articles on COVID-19 due to compromised ethical standards and concerns about the publications’ scientific validity.

Retraction Watch has provided a running list of withdrawn papers on COVID-19 ranging from “Acute kidney injury associated with COVID-19” to “Can Your AI Differentiate Cats from COVID-19?”

Hand over your children, or else

Female teacher fired, forced to apologize after saying ‘good afternoon, girls’ to students: report

“The students — 11-year-olds at an expensive private school in the U.K. managed by the prestigious Girls’ Day School Trust — were reportedly displeased after the teacher addressed them with a “good afternoon, girls,” at the beginning of a lesson. “

By Robert Arvay, AM THINKER

In Virginia’s House of Delegates, “Elizabeth Guzman [has] announced that she would introduce a bill that would hold parents criminally liable for refusing to treat their children as the opposite sex if they identify as such.”  Criminally liable.  Radical leftists are dead serious about this, and we would be foolish to underestimate their power and determination.

It is already happening in Australia.  Quote: “A recent Australian court decision sends a chilling message to parents who transgress the new gender orthodoxy: Refusing to validate a child’s ‘transgender’ identity may be ‘emotional abuse’ and put parents at risk of losing custody of their child.”

The US-Qatar Relationship is More Complex Than Just ‘Friend’ or ‘Foe’

by Dr. Eric R. Mandel, MEPIN

On a recent visit to Doha, where I spoke with Qatari and American foreign policy officials, I was reminded of the question that always arises when talking about U.S.-Qatar relations: Friend, foe, or a little of both?

In January 2022, President Biden designated Qatar a major non-NATO ally, a designation the State Department calls “a powerful symbol of the close relationship the United States shares with those countries and [one that] demonstrates our deep respect for the friendship for the countries to which it is extended.” At the time, the Department of Defense reported that Biden and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani “discussed shared regional security interests, including de-escalating tensions in the region, countering terrorism, and the threats represented by Iran.”

Saudi officials: ‘Normalization with Israel is still on the table’

Despite agreement with Iran, Saudi Arabia still sees Tehran as an enemy, believes Iranians will violate agreement ‘at first opportunity,’ senior officials say.

Saudi Arabia’s leadership is not counting on an improvement in the country’s relations with Iran, and estimates that Tehran will violate the agreement between them at the first opportunity, senior officials in Riyadh told Israel Hayom.

According to the officials, the view that the tightening of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran has put a stopper on the possibility of future progress towards normalization with Israel, is not true.

An Unwinnable War

Washington Needs an Endgame in Ukraine

By Samuel CharapFOREIGN AFFAIRS

Fifteen months of fighting in Ukraine have made clear that neither Moscow nor Kyiv has the capacity to achieve a decisive military victory over the other, Samuel Charap writes in a new essay. Moreover, two key aspects of the war are likely to remain fixed for many years to come: the persistent threat that both sides pose to each other and the unsettled dispute over the areas of Ukraine that Russia has claimed to annex. This means that the war in Ukraine could continue indefinitely, devolving into a devastating years-long conflict that could cost thousands more lives without producing a decisive outcome.

Expert warns 600 million human beings injured or killed by covid vaccines so far
Mike Adams A shocking (but evidence-based) analysis reveals that covid vaccines have now injured or killed 600 million people across the planet.

Yet somehow, Donald Trump still claims credit for fast-tracking the jabs, claiming people “wanted” them.

When will Trump ever admit the truth about these death jabs? And when will the deaths end?

Ehud Barak’s complicated position in Israeli politics and industry

Two stories have come out that placed the left’s anti-government riots in a new light.

By Caroline Glick,   June 2. 2023

This week, two stories came out that placed the left’s anti-government riots in a new light.

First, in a podcast with Haaretz reporter Amir Oren, Gilead Sher—one of the leaders of the “Resistance” against the Netanyahu government—explained that he and his colleagues put together the organizational and financial structure for the mass rioting that Israel has experienced since January, before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his colleagues formed the government. In other words, the riots, protests, acts of political violence and intimidation that have swamped Israel since January were not spontaneous responses to the government’s legal reform proposals. They were planned and financed weeks before Justice Minister Yariv Levin was appointed to his position and well before the government took any position on anything.

Charles Jacobs Introduces “Betrayal: The Failure of American Jewish Leadership” (May 21, 2023)

The speech is riveting. The ZOA’s Morton Klein called Jacobs’ address “extraordinary and compelling.”

Betrayal is composed of 22 essays — some by distinguished authors and activists including Alan Dershowitz, Mort Klein, Caroline Glick, Richard Landes, Jonathan Tobin, and Thane Rosenbaum — and others by unsung Jewish activists who describe how their local Jewish leaders ignore or explain anti-Semitism away when it comes from “inconvenient sources.”

This may be the first book about the failure of the Jewish establishment to respond effectively to the rapid rise in anti-Semitism in America.

ADL Survey Finds Harmful Antisemitic Stereotypes Remain Deeply Entrenched Across Europe

This ADL report appeared in major papers all over the world.

Israel – Time for reflection

T. Belman.  This article by my friend Steve received considerable attention on ISRAEL SEEN.  I thought I would share it with you.

By Steve Kramer, ISRAEL SEEN

If you ever wondered how the US would react should another Nazi Germany threaten the democratic world, stop wondering. You’re seeing it right now in the Middle East… Let’s jump back to 1932, when the US was in isolationist mode and in Germany, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (the Nazi Party) won a 33% plurality in the November 1932 elections. The charismatic leader of the party, Adolph Hitler, shrewdly maneuvered the president of the German republic, the iconic General Paul von Hindenburg, to name Hitler chancellor on January 30, 1933. From then on, Hitler built Europe’s largest army supplied with the appropriate armaments, a modern air force, concentration camps for political and “anti-social” criminals, and Jew-hating indoctrination to inflame the Germans against less than 1% of the population – the Jews. According to Hitler, it was the Jews who had sold Germany out during the Great War (later, WW1) and caused Germany’s rapid decline into a beggar state.

Biden’s Strategy to Fight Anti-Semitism Enables Hatred of Jews and Israel

By Daniel Greenfield, 03 Jun 11:24 PM

In 2019, President Trump signed an executive order on combating antisemitism. The order used the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism which includes “denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination”, “using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism to characterize Israel” and applying double standards to the Jewish State.

Biden’s hyped U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, released on the eve of the Shavuot holiday, backtracks from this gold standard by claiming that, “there are several definitions of antisemitism, which serve as valuable tools to raise awareness and increase understanding of antisemitism”, including the IHRA, but noting that the Biden administration “welcomes and appreciates the Nexus Document and notes other such efforts.”

Groundbreaking Israeli cancer treatment has 90% success rate

An experimental treatment developed at Israel’s Hadassah-University Medical Center has a 90% success rate at bringing patients with multiple myeloma into remission.

)

Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem has announced an “unprecedented achievement” in the treatment of multiple myeloma cancer – the second-most common hematological disease. It accounts for one-tenth of all blood cancers and 1% of all types of malignancies.

The innovative treatment against the disease, which has long been considered incurable, was developed after a series of experiments carried out in the hospital’s bone-marrow transplant and immunotherapy department in recent years.

“We have a waiting list of over 200 patients from Israel and various parts of the world at any given time.”
