Please re-read every word of the next four paragraphs and know that NOT ONE WORD of them is true! In the 1950s—and for centuries before and decades after—girls knew they were girls; boys knew they were boys and that was that.

Growing up in the 1950s, I remember distinctly that all of my high school classmates were obsessed with figuring out who they really were, males or females. Every conversation, the special clubs we formed to talk about this issue, the heated arguments we had with our parents who didn’t “get” that the children they thought were boys or girls were not at all what those dinosaurs imagined sex and gender to be, and the total lack of understanding we got from the powers-that-be, including teachers, counselors, coaches, doctors. It was truly a horrible time to be a girl or boy.

There is no doubt now that Bakhmut will soon fall to the Russians. How soon? Probably a few days and no more than one week.

Ukraine says it has managed to evacuate its elite forces from the city, leaving only rearguard elements to hang on until the end. Efforts by Ukraine to provide counterattacks have not borne fruit, and all efforts have been stopped by Russian paratroopers and Wagner PMC fighters, along with generous amounts of Russian artillery.

John Mearsheimer has pointed out that for well over 20 years, from the Soviet collapse in 1991 until the 2014 US supported, anti-democratic, violent coup in Kiev against a pro-Russian Ukrainian president, no one of any importance, absolutely no one, viewed Russia as a military threat to its neighbors or to Europe generally, or believed that Russia harbored revanchist impulses.  Neither its behavior during this period nor its top officials’ statements suggested Russia had any designs of dominating its near abroad, let alone conquering it, much less conquering anyone else.

Recently, I met one of Israel’s leading brain surgeons — a doctor who has dedicated his life to saving others. He, his father, and his children all contribute significantly to the State of Israel. He told me that he feels depressed, hopeless, and full of rage toward the community to which I belong: Israel’s ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) community. He feels that his country and the Zionist dream are being trampled. He was overwhelmed with pain.

We sat together and talked, and experienced a transformation, understanding each other, and hugging at the end of our conversation.

It was announced on Wednesday, April 26, that missing Israeli professor Gal Luft is wanted by the US government for arms trafficking. According to the Jerusalem Post, Luft was arrested in Cyprus’ Larnaca International Airport after he was suspected of illegally trafficking in arms to Libya and China.

He was supposed to be extradited to the US, but disappeared after a Larnaca court released him on bail.

When word broke Tuesday that Khader Adnan—a senior terrorist and serial hunger striker from Iranian-controlled Islamic Jihad—had died in an Israeli prison after 83 days of refusing food, Hamas began shelling Israeli towns and villages in the western Negev. As Islamic Jihad’s premier propagandist, Adnan was reportedly the most prominent Islamic Jihad terrorist in Jenin, where the group reigns supreme.

Between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, Islamic Jihad and Hamas rocket teams pummeled Israel with more than a hundred rockets and mortars. Israelis in communities around Gaza spent the night in their bomb shelters.

Speaking to Mishpacha, a haredi magazine, which ran the quote as a headline, the ultra-Orthodox political leader, who is also Israel’s minister of construction and housing, said: “The Prime Minister received an unequivocal message from me according to which there is an order from the Council of Torah Sages that if the conscription law is not passed before the budget [which is due by May 29], we will withdraw from the government. As long as there is no other [council] directive, this is what will be done.”

On October 3, 1980, a bomb went off just outside a synagogue on the rue Copernic in Paris. Several people were killed: a student on a motorbike, an Israeli journalist, a driver, and a caretaker. In addition, 46 people were wounded, many of them seriously. Eventually, over many years, the French authorities, with help from German intelligence as well as Israeli and French agents, tracked down the PFLP operative who left the bomb, a Lebanese sociologist named Hassan Diab. By that time, Diab was living in Canada. With the evidence it had gathered, France asked Canada to extradite Diab in 2008 so he could stand trial.

The other day, an Arab terrorist died after a hunger strike. The Woke Left are in a tizzy, accusing Israel of war crimes. Arab terror groups are talking about bringing a claim to the International Criminal Court. A barrage of rockets were launched from Gaza prompting an Israeli response.

Think about it. Voices in the Israeli government are apologizing: “We tried so hard to feed him, but he refused to eat. We tried. We begged. He just wouldn’t touch our food. It’s not our fault.”
