English Version, World Congress of Families 2019 Speech

The video above is of a fantastic speech that was given by new (incoming) Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni to the World Congress of Families in 2019. In this video, I am providing a voiceover, because (of course) she presents in Italian.

In my opinion, the importance of this speech is that it really puts the lie to the mainstream media storyline that Meloni and her Brothers of Italy (Fratelli d”Italia) are fascists. The words I am speaking in the video are an English translation of her words, and although I endorse many aspects of her platform, the views being presented are not necessarily mine. In particular, I agree with many of the points which she made (particularly about personal responsibility as well as the importance of family and children), but not all.

US Secretary of State Blinken says Washington won’t recognize “annexed” regions as Russian

Washington has no objections to Kiev using Western-supplied weapons to target territories that may decide to join Russia, as the US considers the vote to do so illegitimate, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday.

The US and its allies have supplied Ukraine with a variety of weapons, including tube and rocket artillery. At a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Washington, Blinken was asked if the US had any objections to Ukraine using those weapons to attack targets in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson, which just wrapped up a vote on joining Russia.

The Nord Stream pipelines may have been damaged in an act of sabotage, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov suggested when asked about the possible reasons for sudden pressure loss in three of the Baltic Sea gas network’s lines.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Peskov commented on a statement made by Nord Stream AG, the operator of the network, which said three offshore lines of the Nord Stream pipeline system sustained “unprecedented” damage in just one day.

Human rights NGO says Beijing is engaging in ‘long-arm policing’ in dozens of countries

Chinese police have set up three unofficial overseas “service stations” in Toronto as part of over 50 similar offices in dozens of countries, says a new investigative report.

These operations “eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation” and show the worrying growth of “transnational repression” and “long-arm policing” by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the report said, noting that the stations have reportedly targeted not only criminals and corrupt officials but also dissidents.

Benito Mussolini was the fascist dictator of Italy from 1922 until his death in 1945.  As such, he led Italy during the major years of World War II.  Today, Mussolini is remembered for establishing the first fascist movement in the world.  In fact, he seized power over Italy in 1922 following his ‘March on Rome’, which was a violent takeover of the government.  Further to this, Mussolini allied his country with Nazi Germany and its leader Adolf Hitler during World War II.  It should also be noted that Mussolini, and his fascist movement in Italy, inspired Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany.  Hitler even modeled aspects of his government after Mussolini’s.  Because of this, Mussolini is one of the most famous dictators of the 20th century.\?

It has been a canard of the Left that “words matter.” We are lectured that “hate speech” leads inevitably to street violence.

So how ironic that the Left defames nearly half of America as dangerous “semi-fascist” extremists, white-raged and privileged, ultra MAGA, and guilty of all sorts of thought crimes from secession to civil insurrection? And what is the result?

Does this constant demonization matter? And what are the bitter fruits of such labors? After all, what did Barack Obama long ago mean by “clingers” or once Hillary Clinton by “deplorables”  and “irredeemables”?
