Zionism Will Survive the Legacy Media

By Armin Rosen SAPIR JOURNAL

There were names on the letter that I knew, even a few I admired. On June 9, 2021, not long after the escalation between Israel and Gaza-based militant groups ended, scores of journalists signed a public statement decrying the “decades-long journalistic malpractice” of the news industry’s alleged bias in favor of Israel. The media had premised its coverage of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict on Israeli narratives of proportionality and legitimate self-defense, the signers suggested, in part through failing to adopt the viewpoints of the letter-signers’ preferred segments of Palestinian society. “These terms?—?apartheid, persecution, ethnic supremacy?—?are increasingly gaining institutional recognition after years of Palestinian advocacy, and we, as journalists, need to examine whether our coverage reflects that reality,” the letter instructs. Coverage could be rebalanced only by endorsing a Palestinian-nationalist interpretation of the conflict and ending the scandalous evenhandedness that treated Israel as if it were a normal country with just as much of a moral, legal, and practical foundation as any other. The EU and the Biden Administration Give in to Iran’s Mullahs

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  May 14, 2022

  • The European Union is basically admitting that it views the nuclear deal with Iran’s ruling clerics from the perspective of economic opportunity. That should not be the objective of the nuclear talks. Instead, European leaders ought to be seeking a strong deal that will prevent the Iranian regime from acquiring nuclear weapons, especially — as they should have learned from Russia by now — because those nukes may soon be aimed at their countries.
  • By revealing its desperation to buy oil, the EU is empowering Iran’s ruling clerics to gain the upper hand in the nuclear talks and obtain even more concessions to revive the nuclear deal. Desperation, to the Iranian regime, means weakness.

JORDAN: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE: The Jordan Option Revisited

ZOOM CONFERENCE

JORDAN, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
The Jordan Option Revisited

Map-of-the-partition-of-Trans-Jordan.jpg

The Jordan Option has been touted for over 20 years but gained little traction. Essentially it embraces the idea that Jordan should be seen as the Palestinian state.  The primary resistance to the idea came from the Hashemites.

Mudar Zahran, Secretary General of the Jordan Opposition Coalition together with Ted Belman, Editor of Israpundit, held a conference at the Begin Centre in Jerusalem on Oct 17, 2017. It justified the rationale behind Jordan being the Palestinian State and called for the end of the Hashemite control of Jordan.  Mudar Zahran announced he  was ready, willing and able to serve as President of Jordan.

Here we are, 5 years later, on the cusp of success.  Register for the Conference and find out why.

Israeli Police Attack Mourners Before Funeral for Palestinian American Journalist

T. Belman.  This is how the NYT reported what happened. From start to finish it is a smear job.  They write “was shot by Israeli soldiers, though Israeli officials said she could have been struck by either Palestinian or Israeli fire.”  There is no proof of this yet they said it anyways.

The Israeli police were exercising their authority and the so-called mourners were there to flout their authority.

I totally support the police.

As hundreds gathered to witness the start of Shireen Abu Akleh’s funeral procession, riot police assaulted the people carrying her coffin.

JERUSALEM — In life, Shireen Abu Akleh, an acclaimed Palestinian American broadcaster, was one of the leading chroniclers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Her death, while covering an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, turned her into one of the conflict’s most prominent recent victims. Palestinian witnesses and officials said Ms. Abu Akleh, 51, long a leading television reporter for Al Jazeera, was shot by Israeli soldiers, though Israeli officials said she could have been struck by either Palestinian or Israeli fire.

Then, on Friday in Jerusalem, her funeral was marred by another burst of violence.

Midterms 2022: Expect the Worst

BY DAVID SOLWAY, PJ MEDIA    MAY 13, 2022 9:18 PM ET

(AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)

It is currently a popular meme that the Republicans are poised for a Congressional sweep in the 2022 midterm elections, perhaps flipping as many as 40 — some say 60 — seats and regaining control of both houses. After all, the Democrats have performed so poorly across the board, whether in foreign policy, the economic realm, the maelstrom at the southern border, and in the overall domestic havoc they have wrought, as to constitute a disaster not seen in many decades, if not in living memory.

Scenes of Israeli police rushing participants in the funeral of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, using force against Palestinians who were carrying her casket outside a Jerusalem hospital and nearly toppling it, drew widespread condemnation on Friday, with the White House saying it was “deeply disturbing,” while the European Union said it was “appalled.”

The police said in a subsequent statement that it intervened because rioters took her casket at the hospital against her family’s wishes, and prevented it from being loaded onto a hearse, as previously agreed, for that part of the funeral procession.

Iran is “the number one destabilizing factor” in the Middle East, commander of United States Central Command Maj. Gen. Michael Kurilla told Dubai-based Arabic television news channel Al-Arabiya on Thursday.

Kurilla, who was on a tour of Saudi Arabia and Egypt as part of what he called a “listening tour,” told Al Arabiya on Thursday that countering the threat posed by Iran required regional cooperation.

Israeli police said late Friday that officers intervened in the funeral of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in Jerusalem earlier in the day after “rioters” seized her coffin at the hospital, against her family’s wishes.

How Zuckerberg Used a Tax-Exempt Foundation to Help Biden Fix the 2020 Election

And got away with it.

By David Horowitz and John Perazzo, FPM    May 13/22

Everybody to the right of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez knows that the root cause of the crisis facing America — the most serious since the Civil War — is lawlessness. And everybody not under the spell of the Democrat spin machine understands that the lawlessness begins at the top, with government and the many agencies of the executive branch who are tasked by our Constitution with enforcing the law. Whether by failing to enforce our immigration statutes, or failing to prosecute criminals in our streets, or violating our election procedures to favor one party, Democrat administrations in our nation’s capital and our major cities have brazenly supported criminal behavior carried out by Black Lives Matter rioters, common street thugs, and anti-Supreme Court agitators seeking to extort decisions by fear. The effect has been to systematically undermine the rule of law, stoke the fires of anarchy, and sow chaos in our institutions.

F-35I: Israel has its very own custom stealth fighter

Israel Defense Forces / Wikimedia

Israel’s air superiority over the Middle East can be attributed to its unique F-35I Adir stealth fighter jet – the only nation on Earth with a custom version of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The origin story of the “Mighty One” begins in 2010, when Israel became the first country outside the aircraft’s nine-nation co-development group to buy the jet. By 2018, Israel became the first country to debut its version of the F-35 as combat operational. The Jewish state’s fleet of fifth-generation stealth jets has been an instrumental tool in its shadow war against the Islamic Republic of Iran and overall deterrence in the region.

How Western dupes help propagate murderous Palestinian lies

The mainstream media generally choose to believe the Palestinians, even though they routinely lie about Israel. These lies are weapons of war, deployed to incite violence and mass murder. Op-ed.

A Palestinian Arab journalist with Al Jazeera, Shireen Abu Akleh, was shot dead this week in a firefight between Hamas and the Israelis in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Western news outlets initially reported uncritically the Hamas claim that the Israelis had shot her, eagerly regurgitating Al Jazeera’s assertion that the Israelis had “assassinated” her “in cold blood.”

The Temple Mount and freedom of worship in Israel

Standing up for the truth of Israel in a world of hypocrisy and lies.

This week, our hosts discuss the recent spate of terror attacks in Israel in the light of history, and the Torah’s emphasis on the importance of the Land of Israel and the key role it plays in the redemption of Israel and all mankind.

Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman present a scathing analysis of these painful events as they are falsely portrayed in the media and manipulated by the political echelon.

How a New Pro-Israel Group Aims to Sway N.Y. Elections

The organization, the New York Solidarity Network, views itself as a counterweight to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement and the Democratic Socialists of America.

In the past year, the left-wing effort to boycott Israel over its treatment of Palestinians has won over The Harvard Crimson and the Irish novelist Sally Rooney. It’s even affected ice cream: Ben & Jerry’s has refused to sell its confections in the occupied territories.

It has also made inroads in New York, home to the world’s second-largest Jewish community, where the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement has gotten support from the local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the influential far-left political group.

Canada’s Future Prime Minister Needs to Come Clean About Her Nazi Collaborationist Grandfather

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland’s electoral base is in Canada’s Ukrainian diaspora community, which has rebranded Nazi collaborators as nationalist war heroes

By Jeremy Appel, TABLET

On Jan. 26, 2022, in the midst of Russia’s preparations to invade Ukraine, Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland issued a statement outlining why Canada—home to the largest Ukrainian diaspora outside Russia—would support Ukraine unconditionally, outlining a Manichean view of a “struggle between democracy and authoritarianism.” “Canadians—our own parents and grandparents—fought and died,” she continued, “to establish a rules-based international order during and after the Second World War.”

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — A Hamas delegation visited Moscow on May 4, where it held talks with Russian officials at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s guesthouse. The talks concluded on May 5.

Hamas’ visit to Moscow came at a time when Russian-Israeli relations are tense due to Israel’s condemning position of Russia’s war on Ukraine.

The Hamas delegation was led by head of the movement’s international relations office Moussa Abu Marzouk, and it included members of the movement’s political bureau, notably Fathi Hammad and Hussam Badran.
