Topsy Turvy in the Middle East: The Case for Total Victory

by Gwythian Prins  • Gatestone Institute •  October 15, 2024

In Israel’s war of self-defence, tactical operations show that minimisation of loss of life of everyone except the terrorist enemies has been a prime concern. To a degree that is unmatched, the IDF routinely warns civilians to leave targeted zones before attacks. Pictured: An Israeli Air Force F-15 fighter jet flies over Haifa on September 24, 2024. Fears of a scorned Democrat Administration

Peloni:  The looming dangers for Israel over the next few months, if not over the next several years, is in fact very great and very real.  The US could unleash a great deal of damage on Israel, and is being managed by the very leadership team which would relish doing so, and they are about to be left completely unrestrained to do so.

My fears about the US Presidential Election: What would a Biden-Harris Administration do in its waning days if defeated by Trump, or as a victory message should Harris win? Opinion.

Barry Shaw | Oct 20, 2024

My strategic affairs antennas are predicting an awful and damaging outcome for Israel whatever the result of the US Presidential Election.

I predict that if Trump wins, the Biden-Harris Administration will use its waning days, between November through to February, to inflict serious diplomatic damage and an Obama-style punishment on Israel for not kowtowing to US demands over Gaza, Hamas, Hezbollah and Lebanon. If Harris wins, that is how the entire term will look.

Throughout 2024, the Biden-Harris Administration took one-sided swipes at Israel.

The Absurd Effort to Disassociate Jews from Israel

Leonard Grunstein

The propaganda effort to disassociate Jews from Israel is absurd. International law, the French Court of Appeals of Versailles (volokh.com/wp-content/upl) & Qur’an (5:21 & 17:104) recognize rights of Israel. Consider, the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery is more than 3,000 years old. No comparable Arab cemetery in Israel; oldest is 11th century. 1920 San Remo Reso, unanimously confirmed in 1922 by League of Nations, 1924 Anglo-American Convention, 2013 French Court of Appeals of Versailles in the case of PLO et ano vs. Societe Alstom Transport SA et al noted above &history striking rebuttal to false narrative of PA. Waqf’s own Guide to Temple Mount confirms:’Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.’ & in 637 Omar occupied Jerusalem. The matter of title to the Land of Israel has long been resolved in favor of the Jewish people, as a matter of fact and law, including in the 1920 San Remo Resolution unanimously adopted by League of Nations in 1922, because it’s just and right.

Disrespect or disinterest where Israel is concerned

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris keeps dodging issues of importance to Israel, the Middle, and in effect, the world.

In a disconcerting display of barefaced evasion, sidestepping and diversion of a simple interview question, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris provided more cause for concern for those warning of the grave consequences for Israel if she should win the November election for the U.S. presidency.

During a lengthy interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Harris balked at referring to Israel’s current and longest-serving prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu as a long-term ally of the United States.

Deception 4: The Jordan Deception.

Peloni:  Here is the fourth installment of Joseph Shellim’s 12 Deceptions, an excerpt from his important work, Philistine-To-Palestine.  We are posting one Deception each, and here the links to the previous installments:

Deception 1: The Name Deception

Deception 2: The Balfour Deception

Deception 3: The White Paper Deception

Joseph Shellim | October 20, 2024

  • “There was no intention in 1920 of forming the territory east of the river Jordan into an independent  Arab state.” – (Kirkbride, Alexander; A crackle of thorns, London, 1956 p 19)

Was Jordan’s Creation Legal?
Kirkbride’s remark is important in its alluding to the corruption of the Balfour Declaration. It gives an  underlying premise of the flaunting of Britain’s 1920 pledge and overturning its text three years later;  Jordan and any divisions in Palestine was not intended in the 1917 Belfour Declaration. It is also the  year when oil reserves became a prominent factor. Britain’s entrusted responsibility was to act as a fair  and honest care-taker of all groups in this region, and for the Jews to rely on it with all their future on  the line. Equally, it was the situation of the Jews to rely, trust and to depend on the pledges of Great  Britain, a foremost Christian nation that was law based, a worldly power and empire given the  appointment to settle this reason. For the Jews this was an existential matter.

Sinwar’s death will hurt Iran’s ‘axis of resistance’ – analysis

The elimination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar marks a significant setback for Iran’s regional strategy, potentially weakening the “axis of resistance” that has long threatened Israel’s security.

The death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is a serious blow to Iran and its “axis of resistance” in the region. The Islamic Republic has backed Hamas for many years. When Sinwar took charge, it was a major game-changer for Iran. Under Sinwar’s leadership and guidance over the past decade, Hamas has become a major terrorist group that carried out the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Netanyahu Denounces Macron For Claiming Israel Owes Its Existence to the UN

By

President Emmanuel Macron of France has been reported as saying that Israel “should not forget” that it was “created by the UN” — and therefore, presumably, it ought not to be making life difficult for the UNIFIL troops in southern Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was outraged by this remark. More on Macron, and on Netanyahu’s response, can be found here: “Macron: Israel was created by UN, Netanyahu should not forget it – report,” Jerusalem Post, October 16, 2024:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should not fail to forget that a UN resolution created Israel, French President Emmanuel Macron said while convening with ministers on Tuesday, according to Le Parisien.

The State of Israel is reportedly seeking to establish an IDF military base in the Republic of Somaliland, located in northern Somalia, to counter the ongoing missile threat posed by Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

According to a report from the Qatari news outlet Middle East Monitor on Tuesday, Israel would establish diplomatic relations with Somaliland in exchange for establishing an Israeli military base in the de facto state.

Israel Fights Alone, Carrying by Itself a Catatonically Suicidal West?

by Majid Rafizadeh  • Gatestone Institute •  October 19, 2024

The West has left Israel to fight a war that should never have been Israel’s alone. The Western nations, through diplomatic miscalculations, the need for votes, cowardice and a fear of conflict, have essentially outsourced their responsibilities for maintaining global peace to Israel, watching from the sidelines as the conflict ramps up. Palestinian society will soon ‘rise up against Hamas’ ending war in Gaza | Amir Avivi

Peloni:  It has been so long since the West has even attempted to win a war, that they are completely caught in a loop of repeating over and over that victory can not only not be achieved, but that victory is not even something which should be pursued.  They are being schooled by the resolve of the Israeli people on what might come from fighting a war of existential threat and how that threat might actually be contained if not expunged by the pursuit of victory.  As Avivi states as a simple matter of fact, Israel will not blink first.  Hamas will be erradicated and their reign of terror will be ended.

Kamala’s statement on Sinwar’s death: the right words but a sad, mad tone

By Andrea Widburg | Am Thinker | October 19, 2024

Yahya Sinwar’s death in Rafah raises two interesting points about Kamala Harris. The first is that her understanding of how to conduct a war is zero. The second is that, in my humble estimation, she’s very, very angry that Israel put her in a position where she has to praise its actions and confirm its right to self-defense for she knows this will anger her base.

Those who think that Sinwar’s death was just have noted the importance of the fact that Sinwar—who died not like a warrior but like a rat (video here)—met his end in Rafah. This matters because, back in March, Kamala got it totally wrong when she insisted, after “studying the maps,” that it would be a terrible mistake for Israel to enter Rafah:

Biden-Harris Gave Over $1B to ‘Palestinians’ Since Oct 7

Terrorists murdered over 1,000 people and got over $1 billion.

by

Oct 7 marked the grim anniversary of the worst massacre of Jews since Holocaust. The terrorist perpetrators of it however could celebrate the over $1 billion in foreign aid from the U.S.

46 Americans had been murdered on Oct 7 and another 12 taken hostage, but ahead of the Oct 7 anniversary, USAID announced that it was sending another $336 million in taxpayer-funded ‘aid’ to the terrorist occupied territories in Israel behind the killings of Americans.

USAID boasted that this “brings the total U.S. humanitarian assistance announced for the Palestinian people to more than $1 billion since October 2023.”

Jeffrey A. Tucker | October 17, 2024

It’s being called “Varmagate,” but most people are missing the most important point.

This past week, a hidden video rocked the world news. It was a discussion between an unnamed woman and Dr. Jay Varma, who ran the COVID-19 response in New York City in 2020 and 2021. He did morning briefings on television. He was also the major influence on the policy that closed public accommodations to those who refused the COVID-19 injection.

This policy shut down restaurants, theaters, museums, bars, concerts, and libraries to those who refused the vaccine. Between August 2021 and March 2022, places of gathering in the city were shut to those who would not get the shot. This was enforced with a vaccine passport, later pulled from the market, plus police checks on bars and other places.

Erin Molan Reproaches Kamala and Western Leaders for Enabling Sinwar

Peloni:  Pitch perfect statement by Erin Molan of Sky News!  Indeed, Erin’s comments ring quite true while also putting on full display the moral corruption which is plaguing the West in what should have been the simplest of calls to hunt down and eliminate Sinwar, his entire organization, his every associate and also his masters in Tehran.  Notably, the West is failing today because it is being led by people such as Kamala as it tries to shut down leaders such as Netanyahu, and the world stands as a safer place to live today, only because the latter refused to bow to the demands of the former.  The sick obsession of the West to enable Iran and its vision of butchery and barbarism must be ignored at every instance possible.

Why a Harris presidency is a concern for Israel

Barry Shaw | October 17, 2024

And Part One. Punishing Israel – and not the Palestinians.

Kamala Harris’s approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict has drawn criticism for perceived bias, particularly regarding U.S. sanctions against Jews who desire to live in Judea & Samaria due to of their firmly held beliefs that this is an integral part of an ancestral Jewish Homeland.

These crippling economic sanctions are imposed on Jews in many cases based on dubious claims of violence when, under close examination, violence was a defensive reaction to provocations by Palestinians or supportive agitators who do not live in the territories in question but come from outside, often outside Israel, in order to provoke a counter reaction which they then film to make false cases against individuals who are then targeted by the Biden-Harris Administration.
