Netanyahu Won’t Hand Hamas an Easy Victory

The latest information seeping out from the negotiations for an end to the war in Gaza suggest that agreement between the sides remains out of reach. According to a report by Axios today, Hamas yesterday rejected an updated US proposal, claiming that the new formula aligned with attempts by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to raise ‘new conditions and demands with the aim of undermining the mediators’ efforts and prolonging the war’.

It’s All About the Revolution: Ten Techniques Marxists Have Deployed

By Janet Levy, AM THINKER,  August 19, 2024

For an ideology born in a library to an loathsome scholar, Marxism has never shied from world conquest.  Its earliest proponents, Marx and Engels included, were committed to inciting revolution in all countries.  And Lenin, a man of praxis and internationalism, believed that besides revolution and warfare, the way to defeat capitalism was through propaganda.

To that end, the Left in America has engaged in cultural warfare – a whole of society” revolution to destroy Western civilization.  Critical Theory, wokeism, DEI, and ideas about gender fluidity – these are all distortions of reality deployed to change our system of values, beliefs, attitudes, and preferences.  Leftists believe that by doing so, they will cause existing social structures to crumble.  They think anarchic socialism will then become viable, emerging from the chaos of a society without order and values.

UK Man Gets 3 Years for Islam Tweet, Muslim Gets Suspended Sentence for Threatening Jews w/Knife

Peloni:  As I have noted previously, Britain has fallen to Jihad.

The best justice system this side of Saudi Arabia.

Daniel Greenfield | August 18, 2024

The UK under the Starmer regime has the same quality of justice and fair jurisprudence as Saudi Arabia.

A man who posted material on social media to stir up racial hatred during recent unrest across the UK has been jailed for three years.
Wayne O’Rourke, who had more than 90,000 followers to his X account, posted misinformation about the killing of three young girls in Southport on 29 July and praised the burning of a car in Sunderland.

Is a hostage deal in Israel’s best interest?

The released terrorists will incentivize future kidnappings, pour gasoline onto the terrorist fires already raging, and catapult Hamas towards its intended takeover of Judea and Samaria.

 By  David M. Weinberg

According to government sources, the deal currently under discussion between Israel and Hamas would see between 500 and 1,000 Palestinian terrorists, 100 of them considered “heavy” terrorists (i.e., bloodthirsty butchers), released from Israeli jails in exchange for 22 live Israeli hostages, mainly women and other civilians, alongside the bodies of another dozen deceased hostages.

The plan also theorizes second and third tranches of terrorist/hostage exchange, but nobody really believes this likely. Too many conditions apply to the supposed next stages, ranging from international supervision of Gaza’s borders (against Hamas’s wishes) to IDF withdrawals. And nobody in Israel can say for sure that additional hostages are still alive/will still be alive for a second or third stage.

Are Libertarians Suffering from Israel Derangement Syndrome?

By Walter E. Block | August 18, 2024

Murray Rothbard (pro-choice) and Ron Paul (pro-life) disagreed on abortion. This is a very important issue. It is one of macro libertarianism, not the micro version thereof. Yet, no one else, let alone either of these two leaders of the libertarian movement, ever so much as hinted that the freedom philosophy credential of either of them was therefore in danger. Although both of them could hardly be correct (since they contradicted one another), no venom was ever heard, at least not within the libertarian movement, against either of them on this issue. No one ever tried to kick either of them out of the libertarian movement. There was no hostility from any member thereof against either of those two over this controversy. The very idea of cancelling either one of these legends would have been considered preposterous.

Never Underestimate the Global Harm Iran Can Inflict

by Clare M. Lopez, Newsmax, August 14, 2024

The Iranian regime’s full court press against former U.S. President and current Republican Party presidential candidate Donald J. Trump continues across a spectrum of operations.

The Tehran regime’s fear of a second Trump administration in the White House has been on full display through a series of assassination plots, online influence operations, and now, most recently, suspected Iranian hacking attempts against the Trump campaign.

As noted in this earlier Newsmax op-ed piece, the Iranian regime has spewed a steady stream of threats against Trump as well as former officials who served in his prior administration.

Will Democrats Repeat the Fraud of 2020?

By Matt Kane, AM THINKER | August 18, 2024

A plot to steal the 2024 election from President Trump is well underway, and not just by suppressing information online or dragging Trump through the court system. Those are instances of throwing anything and everything at the wall hoping something sticks, but not the master plan. The real plots have a much more direct impact on the election results rather than just swaying voter perception. We know this because those behind these plots are openly revealing them.

Israel Waits on the Edge of War

By Victor Rosenthal | August 18, 2024

Israel has been in crisis mode for two weeks, waiting for a promised attack from Iran. At the same time, the Biden-Harris administration is trying to force Israel to accept a cease-fire agreement with Hamas. How are these things related?

The US administration is heavily invested in stopping the Gaza war and preventing Israel from obtaining full security control over Gaza both for domestic political reasons, and in order to advance its long-term goal of unifying the Palestinian territories under the control of single authority that can be a candidate for statehood.

The US has no leverage over Hamas, so the approach is to apply pressure to Israel, its client state, and to Iran, which is concerned that the US does not interfere with its progress toward nuclear weapons, which is currently at an advanced stage.

Zionism must stop being treated as a political issue

Opinion: Zionism is an ideology, not a political stance and bridging our divides requires recognizing this; mislabeling Zionism as political poses an existential threat to Israel, and safeguarding this distinction is paramount to our survival

Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi | August 17, 2024

(Reuters: Photo)

The principles of the IDSF movement’s activity are exclusively anchored in Israel’s security concerns. Why then is the IDSF movement occasionally pegged as a “right-wing” movement asks Brigadier General (res.) Amir Avivi?

Zionism itself has become somewhat of a political concept. According to the movement’s approach, the fundamental rationale for Israel’s security is the ultimate belief in the rightful claim of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel. In other words, this belief has no affiliation or leanings neither to the left nor to the right of the political map.

‘De-escalation’ is a fraud

Peloni:  In fact, the policy of de-escalation is nothing more than the continuation of the Status Quo, and this preserves and escalates, rather than eliminates, the existential threats which lay on Israel’s borders, all of them.  This would be more than a defeat, as it would be a surrender to the permanence of the menacing forces which lay in the North, the South and in J&S.  What is more is that the Sunni nations, who would be pressured towards peace by an Israeli victory, would be pressured towards a very different path by Israeli capitulation to maintaining the Status Quo which oversaw the slaughter of October 7 and the resulting retreat of Israelis from their own borders.  The continuation of the Status Quo is incompatible with Israeli permanence in the region and simply perpetuates and exacerbates the difficulties which Israel will face in the future.

Iran’s war on Israel and America will continue until the mullahs’ regime is removed.

by Shoshana Bryen | August 14, 2024

The most prevalent rumor regarding a possible Iranian attack on Israel was that Iran would strike over Tisha B’Av, Judaism’s somber commemoration of the loss of the Jewish Temples in Jerusalem in 586 BCE and 70 C.E. (makes you wonder who the “colonizers” are, doesn’t it?), as well as other difficult moments in Jewish history.

A lot of people opined that the mullahs’ government would see the irony of adding to Jewish mourning, but there is also irony in the fact that Tehran considers the Jewish link to Jerusalem to be of interest.

August 15 IDSF Daily Briefing – The story of Gaza: From coexistence to a hotbed of terror

Peloni:  Gen. Avivi shares one of his seminars which he provides to foreign dignitaries who visit Israel.  In it, he describes two narratives, one which leads to victory and the other which leads back to October 7 at sometime in the future.  Avivi also explains that the need to deal with the threat in the North is an existential need and he observes that the threat from the PA in J&S is another existential threat, and that all of these threats must be met.  In conclusion, he explains the title of this episode and how Israel allowed Gaza to emerge as a terror enclave within Israel.

Zelensky, Zaluzhny are Targeted by a Wall Street Journal “Exposé” on Nordstream

Peloni:  The problem with being an American puppet is that sooner or later the puppet loses its appeal for the puppeteer, as it appears Zelensky is currently discovering.  Like all American puppets, Zelensky failed the Americans in the most meaningful way in which an American proxy might, he projected weakness when his American masters demanded victories.  Still, Zelensky fulfilled the role which he was ultimately designed to play by the West, and that was to kill Russians at the expense of the Ukrainian masses, with the resulting Slavic slaughter registering as a win-win in the West.  Yet, when Zelensky goes, be it either the way of the Shah or the way of Diem, the truth of the Ukrainian butcher’s bill will finally and honestly embraced in Ukraine, and it will not be either Zelensky nor his Western masters who will reap the whirlwind for this tragedy, but most likely it will be the Ukrainian Jewish community who have always fulfilled the default focus of Ukraine’s historic bloodlust over and over again throughout its history.

Has Zelensky Become a Rogue Actor?

Stephen Bryen | Weapons and Strategy | August 17, 2024

Andromeda yacht

Both Germany and the US have put out numerous stories about the destruction of the Nordsteam pipeline. They say the pipeline was destroyed by the Ukrainians.  The latest story, headlined in the Wall Street Journal, would have us believe that the plot to blow up the pipeline was approved initially by Vladimir Zelensky and carried out by the former Ukrainian Armed Forces chief, Valery Zaluzhny.  Following the story, after the planning was done by a motley crew of army officers and civilians, mostly soaked in alcohol, Zelensky tried to call off the attack because he was warned by the US not to carry it out. Zaluzhny, however, carried on, saying he had no way to call back the operation.

Iran’s Mullahs and Their Deadly Serious Plan: Annihilation of Israel and the US

By Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  August 17, 2024

  • This conflict is a battle for survival not only for Israel but for the region, and ultimately for Europe and the United States.
  • Israel understands the stakes: Iran’s belligerency requires an unequivocally committed response from the United States. In that part of the world, wishy-washy means a green light, open season. The consequences are assumed to vary from minimal to non-existent – and often even a profit!
