Spitting in God’s eye
Tension between Christians and Jews in Jerusalem is more complex than disgust at the deplorable spitting incident this week. Op-ed.
(JNS) Earlier this week,Jews parading through Jerusalem’s Old City passed a group of Christians bearing a large wooden cross. Some of the Jews spat on the ground in the Christians’ direction.
Two days later, Jerusalem police arrested five Jews involved in the incident.
The spitters provoked widespread outrage and disgust. They were denounced by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the chief rabbis of Israel and the United Kingdom, and a number of haredi politicians as well.

The Biden administration at the UN and in “peace” negotiations with Saudi Arabia endlessly reaffirms American support for a two-state solution to the status of the ‘West Bank’. Secretary of State Blinken said, “Normalization… needs to involve a two-state solution.” Numerous attempts at two-state solutions including Camp David talks in 2000, a Saudi peace plan in 2004, and others have all failed.

High-Level Iranian Spy Ring Busted in Washington
The trail that leads from Tehran to D.C. passes directly through the offices of Robert Malley and the International Crisis Group
by Lee Smith TABLET October 01, 2023
The Biden administration’s now-suspended Iran envoy Robert Malley helped to fund, support, and direct an Iranian intelligence operation designed to influence the United States and allied governments, according to a trove of purloined Iranian government emails. The emails, which were reported on by veteran Wall Street Journal correspondent Jay Solomon, writing in Semafor, and by Iran International, the London-based émigré opposition outlet which is the most widely read independent news source inside Iran, were published last week after being extensively verified over a period of several months by the two outlets. They showed that Malley had helped to infiltrate an Iranian agent of influence named Ariane Tabatabai into some of the most sensitive positions in the U.S. government—first at the State Department and now the Pentagon, where she has been serving as chief of staff for the assistant secretary of defense for special operations, Christopher Maier.

The “Palestine Writes” event at University of Pennsylvania this past Yom Kippur weekend was not a “celebration of art and culture,” as claimed in a recent Daily Pennsylvanian article. Rather, as we feared and predicted would occur, a stream of speakers who have called for “Death to Israel” and Intifadas (anti-Jewish terror wars), incessantly libeled and incited hatred against Jews and Israel.[1]

Israel-Saudi normalization has nothing to do with Biden
The administration’s motives for pushing a new deal have more to do with the president’s 2024 re-election campaign and his failed Iran policies than peace.

(October 3, 2023 / JNS) During its first years in office, the Biden administration had difficulty saying the words “Abraham Accords,” let alone taking actions to follow up and expand upon the Trump administration’s foreign-policy triumph. That’s changed in the last several months. The Biden administration has taken up the cause of promoting a normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia. But if those two countries are moving ever closer to each other—something about which there is no doubt—it has little to do with the efforts of President Joe Biden or Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The police also made their routine preparations. They set up a water cannon outside the hotel where the Netanyahus are staying to prevent leftist rioters from getting near the premier and his family.

Israeli zeal for deal hurts normalization benefits
Let there be no mistake: I think that Israel stands at the brink of grand, mega-historic diplomatic breakthrough. But we must go slow.
David M. Weinberg, ISRAEL HAYOM<
Israel needs to approach the emerging peace arrangements with Saudi Arabia and accompanying understandings with the US – with enthusiasm but also caution.
Too much zeal for a deal in Jerusalem will boomerang in Israel’s disfavor. Washington and Riyadh need the peace accord as much or more than Israel does right now, so they should pay for it – and not at Israel’s expense.
Alas, it seems to me the over-ardor for a deal that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed in the US last week weakens Israel’s bargaining hand. I hope that in behind-the-scenes negotiations Israel is playing a tougher game.
The Oslo Accords – How The Israeli Intelligence Community Failed
By Ze’ev B. Begin and Yigal Carmon*, MEMRI
The failures of the Israeli intelligence community in the Yom Kippur War in 1973 and of the American intelligence community on September 11, 2001 have been widely discussed. But there was another failure on the part of the Israeli intelligence community that merits attention: For over two years after the Oslo Accords signed on September 13, 1993, its experts failed to detect he threat posed by the Yasser Arafat’s Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The political climate that prevailed in Israel during the early 1990s had a negative effect on the assessment of the situation by the Israeli intelligence community, and there is a general lesson to be learned from these events. This article will first discuss the key failures of Israel’s intelligence community during these years, and then it will assess the role played in these failures by the contemporary political climate in Israel.
Peace must have denazification implementation at its starting point.
T. Belman. The only thing shocking about this report is that people were shocked by it. The problem with UNRWA’s curriculum has been know for many decades. And I would remind you that UNRWA is s UN agency and is funded in the main by the EU and the US and they know all about the curriculum.

The only solution is to defund UNRWA and terminate its existence.

Never Forget the Jan. 6 Defendants
By Eileen F. Toplansky, AM THINKER
Of all the evil that Biden has perpetrated, none is so vile as the imprisonment of Americans known as the J6 defendants. Daily, they suffer cruel and unusual punishment; they are incarcerated in solitary confinement, their medical needs are ignored, and they do not have proper legal defense. The term “American Gulag” aptly describes their ongoing plight.

Israeli, Saudi officials fear US insistence on Palestinian issue can harm normalization
Sources say disagreements regarding the central issues on the agenda can be overcome, while the Palestinian issue can collapse the talks.

Israeli officials and even Saudi ones are reportedly frustrated with the American administration’s insistence on giving the Palestinian issue so much weight in the talks to reach a tripartite agreement between Saudi Arabia, the US, and Israel. Israel Hayom reported on Monday, citing sources that are informed of the details, that the Biden administration’s exaggerated obsession with the issue is impeding the process of normalizing ties and halting any breakthroughs. Past, present and future of the secular-haredi and religious Zionist divide.
Anti haredi demnstrationYossi Zeliger/TPS
The special privileges that seem to be given to the haredim, especially the waiver of military service and the supremacy of Torah study over work is in some measure one of the issues in the protests we have seen in Israel over the last few months. Secular Jews of Israel sense that their power is diminishing as the population of Haredim and Religious Zionists grows at a faster rate. Haredim and the secular must make a priority of bridging their divide.
