Can We Do Anything About America’s Decline?

The remedies are agreed upon, but the needed medicine is feared more than the disease. Because today, the government is the cause of our many crises.

By Victor Davis Hanson, AM GREATNESS     17.4.23

Twenty-first-century America was on a trajectory of gradual decline — until it began to implode.

Was the accelerant the COVID-19 pandemic and unhinged lockdowns?  Or was the catalyst the woke revolution fueled by the 2020 summer of exempted rioting, looting, arson, and violence? Or was it perhaps the deranged fixation on removing Donald Trump from the presidency and destroying the rule of law in the process?  Or all that and more?

Islamist antisemitism in the US masked by alliance with far left – study

INSS report argues that rebranding of extremist groups as human rights organizations threatens to bring fringe ideas into the mainstream

As antisemitic attacks continue to rise in the United States, a growing alliance with far-left organizations has shielded US Islamist groups from scrutiny of their antisemitic statements and ideas, a study by an Israeli think tank warned.

“US Islamist groups and leaders have increasingly sought common cause with progressive left-wing groups that promote minority rights and intersectionality among racial, ethnic, and religious minorities in their efforts to build coalitions around common interests,” charged Yehudit Barsky and Ehud Rosen, authors of the Institute for National Security Studies report “Islamist Antisemitism in the United States,” set to be published Tuesday.

The Noose

By Shoshana Bryen • April 17, 2023 • Jewish News Syndicate

Israeli checkpoint at in the Old City area of Jerusalem.

The horrors inherent in the possibility of a mullah-led Iranian regime with nuclear weapons are clear. But less seems clear—at least, to the U.S. government—about the non-nuclear threat Iran poses. One result is that the nature of the rocket barrage from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip into Israel’s north on Passover was nearly obscured. An alliance between Iranian proxies Hamas and Hezbollah was on full display, but the U.S. administration had little to say about it.

US – India Relations: Growing Military Cooperation, Lagging Economic Ties – and Managing the Russia Problem

by  April 2023

India and the United States have overcome the distance and suspicions that arose out of India’s refusal to align itself with the US soon after its independence in 1947. Over the last three decades, the world’s oldest and largest democracies have built a multi-layered and likely enduring partnership.

Scott Ritter provides a brilliant overview.

T. Belman. Ritter is interviewed by a Polish journalist. Ritter shows his brilliance. He discusses how corrupt Ukraine is, how stupid Poland is and how indispensable Putin is to Russia. He is very critical of the US because it uses its “friends” and abuses them. Ritter trashes NATO. China doesn’t want to invade Taiwan. Taiwan does not want to be the next Ukraine. China and Taiwan will resolved their differences on their own. Russia has an antidote for all the advanced weapons and tanks that the US is giving to Ukraine. The 7:1 ratio is an average. Today it is probably 10:1 and tomorrow perhaps 20:1. Ukraine has no chance of defeating Russia.

China got Iran and Saudi Arabia to make peace which was the opposite of what the US wanted.

Ukraine war: new figures suggest only one in four Russians support it, but that won’t be enough to oust Putin

T. Belman. On Feb 23, 2023, Bloomberg reports Russian Support for Putin’s War in Ukraine Is Hardening. A year after the invasion, the Kremlin is confident the country is ready to keep fighting.

Keep in mind that Russian media is tightly controlled.

By  , THE CONVERSATION  Dec 8, 2022

Career limiting move: a Russian journalist stages a one-woman protest against the war on Russian primetime news.

Leaked internal Russian government polling recently indicated that as few as one in four Russians may be in favour of the war in Ukraine. Analysts believe that the forced mobilisation of over 300,000 civilians and the high level of casualties have all contributed to waning support for Russia’s war effort.

Amidst the buzz surrounding Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s China visit that began on April 12, the leaders of both countries have signed more than 20 new bilateral agreements.

On the surface, the trip was a run-of-the-mill diplomatic visit. However, some say it underscores an ongoing deprioritization of relations with the United States.

Changes to the ‘Status Quo’ on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount since 1967

By Nadav Shragai / Israel Hayom – May 4, 2022

(JCPA) The status quo on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, as formulated by Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan in 1967, no longer exists. Today, the reality on the mount is very different from what it was 55, 40, or 30 years ago.

One of the explanations the Palestinians often give for the recurrent riots and violence on the mount is that Israel is violating and altering the status quo in ways that favor Israel and the Jewish side and harm Muslims. They call this an “assault on Al-Aqsa,” an “invasion of Al-Aqsa” and, most frequently of all, proclaim that “Al-Aqsa is in danger.”

Conflict on the Temple Mount: What the ‘status quo’ actually means to the Palestinians

T. Belman.  I wrote to Christine :

I just posted your excellent article even though I had a few problems with it.

” Although Dayan formulated the agreement to pacify hostile Arab forces that were bent on obliterating Israel, this fact does not alter the reality about Jewish rights or about the violent outbreaks on the Temple Mount. “

Dayan gave the keys to the Wakf to Jordan after Jerusalem was liberated in the ’48 war. He did so, not to pacify hostile Arab forces, but to remove a grievance from the Arabs throughout the ME which might result in a forever war with the Arabs.

He did this without the approval of the Israeli government. He acted alone.

It should be pointed out that there is no Israeli law which prohibits Jews from praying on the Temple Mount. The SC acknowledged this but went on to say that the Police can prevent it to avoid violence. Ben Gvir wants to change the police action.

One final thought.  The Al Jazeera article is full of lies.

BY

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has now barred Jewish visitors from the Temple Mount until the end of Ramadan, due to widespread violence. According to the prime minister’s Office, this was done “on the unanimous recommendation of the Defense Minister, the IDF Chief-of-Staff, the Director of the ISA and the Israel Police Inspector General.” But Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir called the move a “‘serious mistake’ that risks further inflaming tensions.”

The Treacherous Triangle of Syria, Iran, and Russia

Spring 2023 (view PDF)

Syria’s Hafez al-Assad (right) and Iranian president Akbar Rafsanjani, Tehran, 1997. Syria was the first Arab state to recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Both Russia and Iran have deep, multifaceted, and long-standing connections to Syria. During the

Cold War, Damascus emerged as the Soviet Union’s most loyal Middle Eastern ally, and the relationship regained vibrancy in the 2000s as Vladimir Putin strove to reestablish Moscow’s regional preeminence.

American Officials: Ukraine Peace Talks Unlikely This Year

T. Belman. This article makes it sound like Zelensky is in charge. Wrong, the US is calling all the shots.

The US isn’t ready to make a deal any time soon. The US does not want to agree to anything. It would rather maintain the conflict rather then end it on terms favourable to Russia. The result of such a stance will be to compel Russia to take over all the land west of the Dnipro River plus Odessa and Kiev. And thus Ukraine will cease to exist.

DEEP STATE TRIBUNAL

American intelligence officials do not believe there will be negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine this year, according to the trove of recently-released Pentagon documents.

Despite a stalemate throughout much of the country and a pitched battle over the eastern city of Bakhmut, neither Russia nor Ukraine will likely come to the table soon, according to assessments in the leaked documents.

The REAL BILL GATES

L. Goudsmit. I just watched the video – Bill Gates is a monster, Ted.

It does not matter how many indoctrinated millennials defend him, Bill Gates is a sociopath, a megalomaniac, and a eugenicist just like his father. He is a racist who used vaccines in Africa to depopulate the continent. I feel like vomiting, and it makes me even sicker that any Jew anywhere in the world is duped by this man. Gates makes Mengele look like a kindergartener.

Dr. Naomi Wolf extraordinary speech at the Hillsdale College

One of the most important speeches ever. The sinister plan to destroy humanity by the US Department of Defense with Pfizer is now in plain sight for everyone to see

By URI WEISS   17.4.23

The extraordinary speech of Dr. Naomi Wolf at the Hillsdale College in Michigan a few days ago garnered already millions of views worldwide. In my view, it’s one of the most powerful speeches, by a declared feminist, who I couldn’t fathom of watching, let alone following until three years ago when the COVID19 PLAN-DEMIC has been launched upon humanity, by what we now know being the rogue US Minister of Defence and the US Intelligence agencies.

Israel should prepare for war – and politicians need to come to their senses

Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security – A wake-up call

The struggle over legal reform has caused enormous damage to the State of Israel. On the political level, the image of American backing has been undermined (even if, in practice, the defense cooperation continues as usual). On the economic level, the country’s credit rating has eroded. The public discourse in Israel reached new heights of acerbity and alienation. Above all, national cohesion was cracked primarily due to the IDF being used as a tool in the political debate and the threats to dodge service.

The Passion of Antisemitism

MELANIE PHILLIPS<
>
Jews being persecuted; Rochester Chronicle, 13th century

Antisemitism, which has been erupting uncontrollably across the west for many years, continues to be bedevilled by confusion about its most frequent public expression in anti-Israel sentiment. This provides the excuse that what’s being expressed is not hatred of Jews (heaven forfend) but hatred of Israel (apparently fine).

Report: Major judicial reform compromise revealed

T. Belman.  I don’t like it. I see no reason or precedent for the Judges to be involved in appointing the selection committee..

Compromise would limit both the courts’ and the politicians’ influence on the Judicial Selection Committee.

Supreme CourtOlivier Fitoussi/Flash90

A compromise proposal has been submitted on the issue of the Judicial Selection Committee, one of the most controversial aspects of the government’s planned judicial reforms, Kan Reshet Bet reported this morning (Sunday).

Negotiations between the coalition and opposition on the judicial reforms continue at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem under the auspices of President Isaac Herzog.

Biden’s New Muslim Liaison to Fight ‘Institutional Islamophobia’

By Daniel Greenfield, 15 Apr 11:26 PM

In 2010, the Islamic Society of North America honored one of the unindicted co-conspirators of the World Trade Center bombing.

Also at the ISNA convention were three members of the Obama administration: Rashad Hussain, George Selim and Mazen Basrawi. Hussain went from working as Obama’s envoy to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to serving as Biden’s Ambassador for Religious Freedom, while George Selim joined the ADL as its VP of National Affairs.

Russia and Israel: Ominous Prospects

T. Belman. In the past, Maistrovoy and I co-wrote these articles.
– RUSSIA AND THE NEW ME -Part IV: Can Russia be induced to use its UN veto to protect Israel
– Contemplating, a US-Russia Alliance

In the mid and long terms, the Jewish state may face new existential threat from Russia

By Alex Maistrovoy    DEC 4, 2022,

The war in Ukraine has exposed in its entirety the inefficiency of the Russian military machine, extremely bad management and destructive corruption in all echelons of power. What development of the event can be expected in this country, and how will this affect the Jews and Israel?

Russia – exhausted and drained of blood in the war – will probably face two scenarios, as it has happened more than once in the history of this country. The first option is a turmoil (‘smuta’), followed by an even more cruel and despotic regime. The second scenario is a direct transition to even more bloody tyranny. The results will be same.
