The Israeli defense industry, led by the big three — Rafael, Elbit, and Israel Aircraft Industries — keeps on coming up with new weapons, such as the laser-based anti-missile weapon, the Iron Beam, that will cost only a few dollars as compared to the tens of thousands for the Iron Dome that does the same thing, and in improving those it already possesses. Now Rafael’s David’s Sling, an air and missile defense system, that has lately been improved, has been tested and managed to surpass all expectations in shooting down short, medium, and long-range missiles, including ballistic missiles. It does so at a fraction of the cost of either the Arrow 2, used to shoot down ballistic missiles, or the Iron Dome, used to shoot down short-range rockets.

• Merz Confirms Military Exports Halt: The German government has announced a suspension of certain military exports to Israel following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to take over Gaza City as the next step in the Jewish state’s bid to eliminate Hamas from the coastal enclave. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asserted that the “even harsher military action by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, approved by the Israeli cabinet last night, makes it increasingly difficult for the German government to see how these goals will be achieved.” He added, “under these circumstances, the German government will not authorize any exports of military equipment that could be used in the Gaza Strip until further notice.” Following the announcement, Netanyahu held a phone call with Merz in which he expressed “disappointment” with the decision, with his office subsequently issuing a statement charging Germany with “rewarding Hamas terrorism.”

Recently, Hamas released horrific videos depicting two Israeli hostages, Evytar David and Rom Braslavski,who have now been held in captivity in inhuman conditions for 670 days. One particularly harrowing video shows David, visibly emaciated, being forced to dig what appears to be his own grave in a Hamas tunnel beneath Gaza. These images evoke painful historical parallels of the Holocaust and the brutal conditions of Nazi concentration camps. Jews were rounded up throughout Europe and forced to dig their own graves before they were executed along with their family, neighbors, and entire communities. Jewish concentration camp survivors were so emaciated that they were little more than skin and bones, and some left for dead who were actually still alive. On my first trip to Israel, I had the privilege to meet a woman who was the daughter of one of those who was left for dead.

Why can’t the United States of America or Israel ever seem to win their ‘endless wars’? Because they have yet to fight the real enemy. Israel’s air strikes on Iran at least targeted the actual IRGC backers of Oct 7, while the U.S. has yet to deal with the Saudi, Qatari and Pakistani governments behind 9/11. But there is a hidden enemy that can’t just be droned.

What did Osama bin Laden and Hamas have in common? Both were part of the Muslim Brotherhood. Even more than Iran or any government, it’s the Muslim Brotherhood that binds together worldwide terrorist threats with political domestic pressure campaigns. The spectrum of Brotherhood influence combines together not only armed Jihadis, but Qatar’s Al Jazeera and other media influence operations, CAIR and other internal Democrat pressure groups and a majority of the mosques operating inside the United States. And that’s only the beginning.
