How the BBC captioned the Politics Live segment on Israel’s counter-terrorism operation in Jenin

I took part this week in an edition of the BBC TV show Politics Live. My fellow guests were the veteran human rights lawyer Baroness Helena Kennedy, the Conservative peer Lord Bethell and the libertarian Spiked writer Ella Whelan. Palestinian Media Watch Director Itamar Marcus spoke about PA Antisemitism at several events last month. One was a panel discussion “From East to West: The Export of Antisemitism from Arabic Media,” hosted by PMW and CAMERA Arabic at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. Marcus also spoke at a live-streamed conference organised by Pulse of Israel called “Unmasking Jew-hatred within the Palestinian national movement.”

T. Belman. It doesn’t get better than this. Carice Witte is brilliant. I met her when I made aliya in 2009. She made aliya from the US the year before. At that time she decided to devote all her efforts in embracing China. As a result, she is the leading expert in the Israel-China relationship. She just returned from the US where she participated in 20 meetings with US officials and congressmen who wanted to benefit from her knowledge. She is now expanding her focus from China to the World and in particular, India, South Korea and Japan.

I have alarming news to report. The U.N. Human Rights Council is now in session, but they’ve rigged the speaker’s lists so that I can’t take the floor.

Palestinian leaders do their Nazi job.

The first thing the Nazis had done upon assuming power in Germany was to turn the children into loyal Nazis, and ultimately into heartless killers. The Palestinians under Yasser Arafat and Mahmud Abbas have done the same. Peace can not be made with a regime that indoctrinates their youth to wage an uncompromising war against the Jews and encourage them to become martyrs for Palestine. That is what the Nazis did, and this is what the Palestinians are doing now. And if one wonders why there is no peace between the Palestinians and Israel, one clear answer is the Palestinian educational system, Palestinian media and the mosques that support it.

All that separates Iran from transforming into a nuclear state rather than a nuclear-threshold state is one decision. The Israeli security agencies are closely monitoring what is happening in the Islamic Republic that openly threatens Israel with annihilation and is keeping abreast of the reports of the emerging deal with the West.

In public, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the defense establishment have repeatedly said that Israel will maintain the freedom to act in such a scenario. Against this backdrop, with Israel watching the shifting sands in the region and gearing up for a new reality, Israel Hayom spoke with National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi for an interview on the threats facing Israel. Despite the rising dangers on multiple fronts, he remains optimistic.

T. Belman. Palki blames France for not integrating the Muslims rather than blaming the Muslims for not wanting to integrate.. The issue is how much of their culture should be rejected in order to integrate or how much accommodation should France support?

After the Israel Defense Forces withdrew all troops from the Jenin refugee camp early Wednesday, local Palestinian residents emerged from their homes in the morning to large-scale destruction, as the thousands who fled their homes during the counter-terror operation started to return.

Once again Israel is being forced to combat terrorists who have committed and plan to commit murderous attacks on civilians. Once more, the locus for the attacks is coming from United Nations’ “refugee” camps. Once again, the majority of the terrorists are Arabs whom the UN has told have rights to move into grandparents’ homes in Israel.

UNRWA Wards By The Numbers

For the year ending December 2021, according to UNRWA, there were 6,539,844 Palestinian wards who accept services from the agency, of which 5,807,653 (89%) were “refugees” and another 732,191 (11%) were other people whom the UN thought deserved particular support. Of the 6.5m, 863,708 (13.2%) are above age 60, suggesting perhaps only 2.6% of the total, or 175,000 are actual refugees from 1948 who lost homes a few miles away in Israel, after they launched a war to destroy the Jewish state.

T. Belman.  Bennett has proven himself adept at handling outrageous interviews. The interviewer is blatantly trying to demonize Israel she kept repeating that the Israel kept killing children and kept repeating condemnations of Israel.

The US as usual, virtue signalled, by saying, “It is imperative to take all possible precautions to prevent the loss of civilian lives,” The US knows there is no need to remind Israel to avoid harm to civilians. Israel has always shown it self to take greater precaution, even more than the law requires, then any other country in the world, including the US, who, I now read, are sending banned cluster bombs to Ukraine. The laws of war do not impose such a standard on combatants.

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday gave an interview to the BBC, during which the interviewer stunned him by claiming that “the Israeli forces are happy to kill children”.
“You know, it’s quite remarkable that you’d say that, because they are killing us,” Bennett replied. “Now, if there’s a 17-year-old Palestinian that’s shooting on your family, what is he?”

T. Belman.  I happened to sit next to one such missionary at the King David. He was not the only such person there. . He proudly introduced himself as Jew who found Jesus 30 years ago. I told him that it is his right to switch religions but I didn’t want to hear about it. Needless to say that ended the conversation. I am surprised to learn that there are in excess of 30,000 of them in Jerusalem

Arieh King referred them as “Messianic Jews”. For my part they no longer have the right to be called Jews.

The focus of missionary activity in Israel, although forbidden by law, is Jerusalem.

• The League of Arab States (LAS), which represents 22 member countries, has spent several decades issuing statements of condemnation against Israel. Each time Israel launches a counterterrorism operation in response to Palestinian terrorism, including rockets fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel and shooting, stabbing and car-ramming attacks, it is denounced.

One of the best things about a segment on the War Room, after virtually meeting Steve Bannon, is the incoming mail two days later.

The RNC, the Trump Campaign, almost every Republican state party chairperson believes the road to 2024 electoral victory is to “out-ballot-harvest the left.” It’s hard to argue with absolute nonsense.  To the rescue, however, comes a retired mail carrier who sent the following message:

Message: I am a retired mail man.

I just saw your War Room interview.
I now know where the mules got their ballots. Straight from the post office in returned/undeliverable mail.
While I have zero proof of where they ended up, I had those ballots you were talking about in my mail bag with wrong addresses or lacking apartment numbers or even people that moved and still had ballots delivered to their old apartment.
We put those ballots in a basket and someone came by and picked them up.
Hundreds or even thousands of ballots.
Who picked them up, where did they go?
Now we know why signature match was removed…
Someone needs to investigate the post office and their democratic union run activities.

Whether Putin has drawn out his saber without the need may be debatable, but the geopolitical reality is that he will not put it back without glory, whatever the cost. Putin, who revived Russia, and rebuilt its economy from the ruins of the collapsed Soviet Union, cannot permit his odyssey to end in the country’s dissolution.

T. Belman. Muslims are 11% of the French population and about 21% of the Israeli population (Excluding the Muslims in A and B.). Israel must be doing something right because the Israeli Arabs have no history of such rioting except for one time, a couple of years ago. But such riots pale in comparison.

Those who warned Europe for years that this would happen have the feeling of a person sitting with his legs crossed, a cat on his knees, a bag of popcorn – and the view from the terrace of the burning city, living out his prophecies..

There are many images to remember of a new night of violence in France. There is the looting of an armory in the heart of Marseille, during which numerous pistols were stolen. Not a good sign for the future.

And a post office hit by a giant explosion in Lyon. And, in the same city, a hooded man shooting through the houses of the Duchère district with a Kalashnikov.

I went to sleep in Moscow and woke up in Tehran, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt says.

For 29 years, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt was the chief rabbi of Moscow. But one-and-a-half years ago, everything changed. He left Russia with his family in March 2022, a few weeks after Russia invaded Ukraine.

“After Russia invaded Ukraine, there was an attempt at the beginning of the war to force religious leaders to support the war,” Goldschmidt tells JNS. “I and others believed that we should not support the war. And we concluded that we must not be silent.

 “I said, in a dramatic way, that I went to sleep in Moscow and woke up in Tehran,” the rabbi says. “I realized that I see no future for the Jewish community in the current structure of Russia, when just for calling the war a war (and not a ‘special military operation’), you can get 15 years in prison.”
