As Gaza’s rockets are fired at Israel, so are media missiles

Behind western hostility to Israel and indifference towards Iran lies a baleful explanation

By MELANIE PHILLIPS    12.5.23

We know it’s coming. We can write the script in advance. Yet it never fails to sicken and to shock.

This week, Israel was once again forced to take military action to defend itself against increasingly deadly attacks. As ever, western media presented this as if Israel wakes up in the morning and decides to bomb Gaza through some insatiable lust for violence.

Once again, such media outlets omitted or downplayed the crucial context for this military action. Once again, questions asked by some interviewers were framed through a maliciously distorted prism.

Iran’s Multifront Strategy Against Israel

by Jonathan Schanzer, Commentary    May 10, 2023

Rockets from Gaza flew toward Tel Aviv on May 10, only a few weeks after Israel celebrated its 75th anniversary. Against all odds, the country has survived despite multiple wars with its neighbors, a dearth of natural resources, and countless other challenges. But the rockets are a reminder that there are no permanent victories in the Middle East. Only permanent battles. There is a real possibility that Israel will be facing a serious war with enemies coming at it from various sides for the first time in nearly half a century—one coordinated out of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but fought along Israel’s borders by Tehran’s terror proxies. Indeed, just a day before the rocket barrage, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly spoke of “an attempt by Iran to start a multi-front campaign against us.”

Iran’s New Friends: Russia and China

T. Belman.  China and Russia are replacing the US in the M.E.

Can Russia emulate China’s Middle East diplomatic success with a Turkiye-Syria rapprochement?

Russia hails Syria’s return to Arab League as Arab world ‘independent global policy’

On New Year’s Eve in 1977, President Jimmy Carter rose in the glittering banquet hall of Tehran’s Niavaran Palace to toast the deep bonds between the U.S. and Iran. As Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi looked on, Mr. Carter showered accolades on the monarch, praising Iran’s modernizing society, attention to human rights and military power.

“Iran, because of the great leadership of the Shah, is an island of stability in one of the more troubled areas of the world,” he told his host before they raised their glasses in friendship.

Saudi Cleric’s Proposal To Establish New School Of Islamic Jurisprudence

Rejected By Salafists And Hardliners, Praised, Endorsed By Liberals

MEMRI

In an interview aired on the official Saudi channel Saudia TV on April 7, 2023, Saudi cleric Saleh Al-Moghamsy, former imam and preacher of the prestigious Quba Mosque near Medina, expressed his wish to establish a new Islamic school of jurisprudence and argued that there is a dire need for such a school, saying that reexamination of the work of ancient scholars is inevitable. Al-Moghamsy further stressed that “a new school of Islamic jurisprudence must be established whether by a group of people or by one person and I pray to Allah to be that person.”

Israel, From the Mediterranean to the Jordan

By Ted Belman (Originally published in Aug ’05)

President Moshe Katsav in a recent interview underscored that, more then any time in the past, the upcoming election will be a referendum on Israel’s borders and so it will.

All parties are prepared to withdraw to varying degrees and on different preconditions. In effect, Labour and Kadima accept the two-state solution as envisioned by the Roadmap and Likud is paying lip service to it because its preconditions are unlikely to be fulfilled.

Exploring House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s Commitment to Eradicating Anti-Israel & Anti-Semitic Propaganda in Congress

by: Fern Sidman, JEWISH VOICE

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) canceled a Palestinian “Nakba Day” event headlined by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) at the U.S. Capitol and replaced it with an event marking 75 years of Israel-U.S. ties, World Israel News reported on Tuesday.

The original event, which was slated to be held at a 400-person auditorium at the Capitol Building, would commemorate the Nakba — Arabic for “catastrophe” — which condemns the founding of the Jewish state in May of 1948.

Europe Day fete in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but not in Israel

Cancelling due to Ben Gvir’s presence is just the newest hypocrisy. Europe celebrates with dictators, but boycotts democratic Israel.

“The ambassadors of the European Union member states present in Qatar are pleased to invite you to a special event to celebrate Europe Day in Qatar”. And again: “Every year, on May 9, we celebrate the Schuman declaration. The EU ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Patrick Simonnet, has organized a lunch to celebrate Europe Day in Riyadh”. Same invitation in Türkiye.

Fmr. National Security adviser: Israel’s objectives are met; now it must secure victory

The strike in the Gaza Strip bolstered Israeli deterrence and showed that Israel’s domestic strife won’t impact its actions on national security. Now we must make sure the terrorists’ response from Gaza won’t offset Israel’s accomplishments.

We must:

1. Maximize our defense so that the death count is minimal. Beyond simply saving lives, this will deny the enemy success and make sure that when the operation is over, they remain beaten down and without accomplishments to point to.

2. Focus on PIJ, while preparing for Hamas to enter the fighting. Hamas should think twice before it joins the fray; if Israel picks up signals it is about to do so, it must take a proactive stance by targeting its leaders and facilities.

U.S. Signals to Israel to End Gaza Operation, Reach Ceasefire

By Amir Tibon, Jonathan Lis, Jack Khoury, HAARETZ    11.5.23

The Biden administration is signaling to Israel to reach a ceasefire and end its ongoing operation in the Gaza Strip, as talks between Israel and the Palestinians, mediated by Egypt, Qatar and the UN, continue.

A source familiar with the details of the negotiations told Haaretz that “the talks go on, but the situation is complicated and tense.” Nevertheless, the source said “we’re moving toward a ceasefire, but at a slower pace than usual.”

A Few Thoughts about the CNN townhall with Trump

By Patricia McCarthy, AM THINKER

Few of his supporters were surprised to learn that Trump was going to do a sit-down in New Hampshire for CNN.  The man does not shy away from potential political disasters; he thrives on them, runs straight at them, unafraid.

Why?  Because he always comes out of these things having won bigly.  Not only is he quick thinking and knowledgeable when it comes to the facts on all the relevant issues, he is gloriously entertaining, verbally and visually.  His facial expressions and gestures say as much he does with words.

Israel Does Not Violate the Laws of War in Gaza

By Jonathan F. Keiler, AMERICAN THINKER 2014

The other day Kenneth Roth, the executive director of Human Rights Watch, appeared on the “Huckabee Show” on FOX News to make the case that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza. Huckabee is a strong supporter of Israel, instinctively on the right side of the issue, but could do little but respond with exasperation to Roth’s technical sounding claims of Israeli law-breaking. While the pro-Huckabee studio audience didn’t buy it, Roth’s calm, prim, and professorial accusations against Israel might easily sway a neutral observer who didn’t actually know the law. His weak but carefully articulated claims help establish the pseudo-legal sounding framework which the left-wing media, most of Europe and the Obama administration use to pressure and condemn Israel. It works to encourage Hamas’ own continuing war crimes, rather than promote adherence to the law.

Trump on CNN Townhall with the Nasty Lady

https://rumble.com/v2n5gzy-commercial-free-replay-president-trumps-cnn-townhall-05-10-2023.html

Pres Trump went into the lion’s den without preconditions.
The questions were fair.
The nasty lady was over-bearing and spoke over him to assert her answer.
“Who do you want to win the war?” Trump: “I want the killing to end. I will end the war in 24 hours”
“What will you do about inflation?” Trump: “Drill Baby Drill”
“Roe v Wade”. “I am proud of of cancelling it because it gave the pro-life people negotiating power.”
Jan 6 prisoners. “I will issue many pardons.”
“Sexual battery case.” Trump: “Entirely made up story. I didn’t testify because I didn’t want to give the story credibility. I stand by my decision”. “She named her dog “vagina” but Judge didn’t allow us to tell that to the jury.

Galina takes issue with my article blaming the US for the war in Ukraine

T. Belman.  I continue to publish the emails from Galina because she is an authentic Russian voice.

By Galina.

I carefully read your article. Clearly, The US is the aggressor in the War in Ukraine. I disagree with some of your conclusions.

On the expansion of NATO to the east

At the NATO summit in London on July 5-6, 1990, the final declaration was adopted. NATO offered former adversaries friendship and the creation of institutions for interaction with the alliance, invited Mikhail Gorbachev to speak in Brussels, and invited the countries of the Warsaw Treaty Organization to join a joint declaration on the end of hostility. However, not a word was said in the document about the further expansion or, conversely, the cessation of NATO expansion. On July 17, US President Bush called the Secretary General and confirmed the main provisions of the declaration adopted at the summit, including the idea of expanding the role of the OSCE and creating new European institutions in which the Soviet Union could participate in order to become part of the new Europe.

Wokism is Marxism – This speech is beyond brilliant.

L. Goudsmit. James Lindsay presents an extraordinary and original analysis of the existential threat facing western civilization. He introduces Marxism as the genus of ideological thought, and exposes classical economic Marxism, radical feminism, critical race theory, queer theory, post-colonial theory, and wokism as species in the genus of Marxism. It is a magnificent discourse that identifies Wokism as 21st-century Marxism evolved to attack the West.

Lindsay is addressing the European parliament, and in my opinion, it is disappointing that at his conclusion he fails to state that European governments, the government of the United States, and the government of Israel, are all participating in the Woke take down of western civilization. The enemy is within. The only Judeo-Christian governments resisting Wokism are eastern European, because they have already lived the lies of communism.

“One of the most important speeches made in the EU Parliament.”
James Lindsay Woke culture.

One good thing, which the psychopaths who orchestrated this PLAN-DEMIC didn’t anticipate happened as a direct result of their hideous criminal activity. They brought together organizations from the “far right”, Steve Bannon from the War Room, with Dr. Naomi Wolf from the Daily Clout in the “far left” of the political spectrum.

Trump Responds To Verdict in Rape Case.

By BRIANNA LYMAN

Former President Donald Trump reacted on Truth Social to the verdict in the rape and defamation suit brought by E Jean Carroll.

Trump was found liable for defamation and battery, with Carroll to be awarded $5 million in damages. Trump was not found guilty of rape, however. Trump defended himself on Truth Social, maintaining he didn’t know who Carroll was.

“I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THIS WOMAN IS. THIS VERDICT IS A DISGRACE – A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!”
